This hotel doesn't have a lot of competition, and it knows it - it's fine, but could be a lot better. We were driving Route 66 and had already booked it, but one of the visitor centers an hour or so up the road warned us about the other motels in town and said we had made the right choice. There were a couple of issues with the room, nothing major but at least one should have been caught earlier. The biggest negative was the breakfast, which was easily the worst I've ever seen at any hotel that offers a free hot breakfast (including numerous Holiday Inn Expresses). Even the coffee was undrinkable and the only hot offering was biscuits and gravy. We took one look and headed for McDonald's.
