Wonderful hotel, perfect location just a few minute's walk from Stora Torget. Clean, cozy rooms, fantastic breakfast, pleasant staff, very reasonably priced. Plenty of street parking available when we were there (beginning of May). (*) There is, however something we'd like to point out. In order to conserve water, the hotel encourages its guests to ”say no to room cleaning”, to keep washing towels and bed linens to a minimum. Great in theory, especially if you are only there a few nights. We had a longer stay, and would have appreciated our room being tidied up a bit (after all, we're paying the service). Since no staff came in the room, towards the end of our stay, we had to hunt down toilet paper and shower gel, and our trash can was overflowing. Luckily we were able to get hold of the receptionist before she left for the day to get a new TP roll. Most hotels clean rooms daily, and change towels when guests request that. The universal ”throw towels on the bathroom floor if you want new ones” would have worked well at Hotell Slottsbacken. We were left with the feeling that while we were trying to be environmentally conscious, we were giving the cleaning crew a free pass. That said, we would absolutely stay at Hotell Slottsbacken again if we ever return to Gotland.

とても綺麗なホテルでした。朝食も美味しく、サウナができるのが魅力的でした。場所もよくて、すてきなホテルステイになりました。

Fabulous location near enough to the port to be walking distance, but far enough away for it to be peaceful. We had room 22 - family room with sitting area - and it was great! Lovely decor, comfy beds, small fridge with tea making facilities. Breakfast was out of this world - Swedes love their brekkie, however in 2 weeks of touring this was the most outstanding! Viggo made our stay even better by being super helpful and a mine of knowledge about local restaurants and places to visit. Thank you! Parking is available opposite for a small fee. 2 hours a day free.
