Hotel berhampiran Oosthoutpark, Voorhout

Great hotel, nice employee, fantastic service, phenomenal experience. I stayed there with a friend for a week, each day we left the hotel at the morning/noon before 11 am. Afterwards we got a cleaned room with new bathtubs and also the kitchen was refilled. The personal was cool. Would like to stay a bit longer

Prima hotel, gelegen aan het strand met een rustieke, Engelse, uitstraling. We kregen een mooie kamer (nadat we eerst een kleinere kamer hadden waarbij bij de opening van het raam de plafondplaten naar beneden dwarrelden). Hondvriendelijk. Zeer behulpzame bediening en een uitstekend ontbijt met alles wat je van een ontbijt verwacht.

Wir sind ganz spontan (einen Tag vorher gebucht) in den Niederlanden angekommen und zusammen mit unserem Hund eingecheckt. Der Empfang war sehr nett und im Zimmer stand schon eine Hundeschale mit Ball und Leckerlies bereit. -Ach so, wir waren im Erdgeschoss im Altbau untergebracht. Die Zimmergröße war ok. Allerdings fehlt jegliche Ablagefläche für einen Koffer und einen Schrank gab es auch nicht, lediglich ein offenes Regal mit ein paar Kleiderbügeln. Auch im Bad gab es lediglich 2 Haken für Handtücher und leider gab es im Bad auch keine Heizung....das war ordentlich kalt. Leider waren auch Flecken in der Bettwäsche vorhanden, ich vermute mal, die sind bei der Wäsche nicht rausgegangen...nicht schön. Die Betten sind nicht gerade bequem, aber wir sind ansonsten Wasserbettschläfer, denke da sind wir verwöhnt. Der Außenbereich war etwas ”schrammelig”, die Leihfahrräder lagen mehr oder weniger vor der Tür im Dreck. -Eigentlich alles Sachen, die man mit sehr wenig Aufwand etwas ansprechender gestalten könnte. Ja, ich kann meinen Vorrednern nur zustimmen, es ist sehr hellhörig. Unschlagbar ist aber die Lage, ca. 100 m und da ist man schon am Strand und zum Pier sind es vielleicht 5 bis 10 Minuten Fußweg. -Aber hey, wir haben für 2 Nächte 180 € gezahlt und ich denke, dass Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt und ich will nicht groß meckern. Das Frühstück kann ich nicht beurteilen, wir waren auswärts frühstücken. Da wir zum Glück Superwetter hatten und sowieso nur zum duschen und schlafen da waren, war es für mich echt ok und konnte damit leben. -Ich denke, es ist wirklich nur was für Leute, die nur kurz da bleiben wollen. Für einen längeren Zeitraum ist das Hotel leider ungeeignet.

Comfortable, clean but rather pricey hotel. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. BUT the place is woefully understaffed. (I waited 25 minutes for a beer on arrival because the single receptionist was also 'the bar staff'). I also waited 35+ minutes at the airport's shuttle bus stop but didn't notice a Best Western bus. So, I paid 25€ for a taxi instead. On departure I realised the bus is actually painted bright orange and bears the BASTION logo of the neighbouring hotel. (On close inspection it also bears a much less prominent Best Western logo that's not readily noticeable)..

De gastvrijheid en vriendelijkheid van het personeel was meer dan goed. Soms duurde het wel lang voordat de drankjes op het terras gebracht werden ! Het avond eten was niet bijzonder. Voorgerecht miste items en het hoofdgerecht was lauw. De serveerster super vriendelijk, zo zie je ze maar weinig meer. De kamers schoon en netjes. Matrassen zijn wel een beetje aan vervanging toe aangezien we naar elkaar zakten . Ontbijt een tien met een griffel ! Maar dat mag ook wel voor bijna 28 euro per persoon , maar wel live muziek van de piano. Al met al , zou ik zeker terug gaan maar niet meer dineren aangezien er voldoende eet gelegenheden in de buurt zijn van niveau !

It was a very pleasant experience - staff is very friendly and supportive, atmosphere is welcoming, CORPUS museum is just in front and might be a great place to visit with children, breakfast is delicious, the absolute highlight of the breakfast is the Chef who made my omelette with a big smile :) room was not big but fits well for 3 guest - the bed and the sofa bed both were comfortable. I enjoyed my short stay in this lovely hostel which I choose due to close distance from Schiphol airport as my flight was early morning. When I arrived I was warmly welcomed polite and helpful staff. They explained to me how to get to the airport by public bus as they do not have free shuttle. Be advised that free shuttles of other hotels do not usually run before 6:00 AM. Also they gave me wake up call in the morning. The room and bathroom big enough, bed very comfy for good night sleep. The room temperature can be self-controlled, the window is impossible to open. WIFI worked well. There is a restaurant and mini market next to the reception and lobby. Due to the early morning flight I did not have a breakfast which is served from 6:30. Bus stop just 100 meters, up the bridge. Ride to the airport just 5 min, you pay by credit/debit card.

We stayed here for 3 nights for a short trip to Holland. I was looking for somewhere central to Amsterdam and The Hague close to a station, this was ideal. Sassenheim train station was about a 10 minute walk. Hotel was nice, staff were friendly, room was comfortable. Good free parking, easy to drive to.
