Nila Beach Resort

Nila Resort was reccommended to us by some local people so we decided to stay for a week. We got a beach front room and it was absolutly spot on. The room was huge and clean with a comfortable King bed, large ensuite with spa and airconditioning. The staff and food were excellent and the ladies looked after our 4 month old baby while we ate. The price of the rooms and the food was very reasonable compared with the other resorts nearby. The views were amazing and we could watch the sunset from our porch through the palm trees.

This is an absolute gem of a place, super close to the airport, they pick you up and drop you off so you don’t even have to think about any of it, but it feels a million miles away. Private and secluded and feels like you’re staying at the private home of a glamorous movie star friend. It’s not a resort so much, more of a secluded luxury spot to relax, and it’s absolutely divine. If you’re looking for a layover before you go out to a far flung island, or you just want to get off the plane and be drinking a wine by the pool in half an hour, it’s perfect. The best part of the experience is both the incredible burres that are so unique and make you feel like you’re in a movie - and also the owner and boss lady extraordinaire Mrs B - we met her at dinner in the restaurant one night and felt like we’d been friends for life. Her magic and hospitality is infectious and makes you want to drink life down like a frozen margarita. She really went out of her way to make our stay special - the little things like rearranging the menu to make sure we could try Fijian food, to showing us an absolutely incredible Fijian circus show, she made our trip phenomenal. You’ll love it, just go. The only thing I’d say is that it’s not a resort like Sheraton, so there isn’t always someone there to attend to your every need, but if you want something just ask. They’ll do everything to help. (And if you’re someone who at 2am is like, hm, I want juice I’ll just go to the on site seven eleven…it doesn’t work like that. But There’s a bar and they’ll work super hard to get you whatever you want snacks wise - they found me some amazing local style chips and nuts just because I said I was hungry - so if you want something just ask. Don’t waste your money on a cookie cutter Nadi resort, go here and hang out in a pocket of paradise.
Landers Bay Resort & Spa Fiji - Adults Only

This could be a great resort if there were a few tweaks made. If you're planning on staying at this resort, I strongly recommend you have a hire car. It's out of the way in a very quiet area which is great if you want to be away from the main tourist hub. About 20 mins drive from the airport. The rooms are very spacious but that's about where the room niceties end. The mattress was so hard that I had to use the spare blankets in the wardrobe to make a ”comforter” so that it was bearable to sleep on. There are 2 showers in the room, 1 that is semi indoors leading to an outdoor shower. Unfortunately my ”indoor” shower had no hot water so I needed to use the outdoor one each day. The rooms are not sound proof so I could hear everything my neighbour was doing in their room. House keeping would attend your room but not actually change any linen or towels or replace things like the empty tissue box or toilet paper unless you asked. Wifi in the rooms is essentially non existent and doesn't really work in the public areas either. Great if you want to switch off from the world. Breakfast is essentially toast and/or eggs to your liking and a few soggy Hashbrowns. Only 1 side of the toaster works so there sometimes can be a delay in getting your toast cooked. Dinner menu changed daily but had good options. The pizzas are delicious and meals are reasonably priced for a resort. Shout out to the F&B staff, they really made the place feel like a nice place to be and forget the little things that were off in the room as far as the basic comforts.

We had a 10hr layover in Nadi. Taxi driver recommended First Landing. We arrived at 0700. Payed $10fj to use the pool. Had breakfast and lunch and lounged on the beachfront. Excellent way to kill time on a long layover. Food was good and reasonably priced. All staff where extremely friendly. They even let us use a room to shower before we left. Thanks you!
