Visited in January, staff are very helpful and eager to make your holiday very special. Hotel and restaurant managers very attentive and keen for us to have a memorable holiday. Food is good and cater for special requests if asked. Had some amazing curries and seafood from chef Hisham aswell as cheese plates on request. Breakfast is a great change from curry but still available if you choose. Amazing omelettes and hoppers. We were lucky enough to celebrate Tai Pongal whilst there seeing staff in traditional dress. The pool boys Aruna and Laliph really looked after us and ensured our sunbeds were ready for us each morning. Always greeting us with a friendly face. Special thanks to all the bar staff who had our drinks ready each evening, remembering our individual preferences and keeping us topped up. Only disappoin**ent was lack of wine at dinner, understandably not hotels fault just didn’t research properly to realise all wine is imported and very expensive. A very clean, comfortable hotel with lovely friendly staff eager to make sure our stay was enjoyable. The biggest thanks as to go to Tissa (mercury rep) for his time, understanding and people skills. He went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed, responded to our requests and recommended places to see. Even after a grumpy first meeting after a long journey and terrible flight. Tissa even looked after us and made sure we were looked after outside the hotel with key contacts in places we visited. Absolute 5 star plus service from him.
