The Hotel Wailea is a superb first class get a way for couples seeking a quiet restful time together. The service is outstanding and the kitchen, in my opinion, gets a gold star. The rooms are all suites with outdoor balconies, kitchen and separate seating area from the bedroom. The location is stellar as the property is away from the beach (but access to the beach is very easy) which provides excellent vistas and a quiter environment.

The resort, though currently undergoing construction, managed to provide a peaceful and rejuvenating escape, leaving us enamored with its charm. Sunset enthusiasts, like my son and I, were treated to an unparalleled spectacle each evening. The resort's prime location gifted us with mesmerizing sunset views, painting the skies with vibrant hues of orange and pink, creating an enchanting backdrop against the tranquil waters. Despite the ongoing construction, the tranquility of Maui Bay Villas was preserved. The staff went above and beyond to ensure minimal disturbance, and their amiable demeanor added a welcoming touch to our stay. Their friendliness and willingness to assist with any request greatly enhanced our overall experience. While the ambiance and scenery were exceptional, one aspect that fell a tad short was the limited dining options available on the property. Although the quality of food served was satisfactory, having a wider variety would have added more culinary delight to our stay. This hotel simply was far above what we expected!!! It is in a GREAT location!!! It has easy access to the Kahului Airport and is right across the street from the beach!! The room was roomy, comfortable and more than what we were expecting!! There was a nice patio were we sat and had morning coffee. There is a pool and hot tub as well as laundry facilities on site. Staff was very friendly as well. We could not have expected more. Thank you you the staff of the Kohea Kai Maui for a fabulous stay for our anniversary!!! We will definitely be back!!

Money grabbing bas**rds at this hotel. Loyal Marriott customer. had to cancel due to covid. Asked for some leeway based on this issue (36 hour cancellation vs their 72 hr requirement) and they didn't care. I'm out $500 but they are out a couple thousand at least on our rescheduled trip to Maui in a couple of months, since there is no way I'll stay in this place. Not only that, I'm staying anywhere but Marriott from here on. Thanks for nothing Marriott and the Maui Kahului location in particular. I'm sure Hilton and the rest will enjoy my future business.

Lumeria Maui is our most favorite Hale to stay when we visit Maui. Their upcountry location is perfect for a central location to explore all of Maui. This nature inspired meditative retreat is at the steps of so many things to do, and the entire staff will bode with tremendous suggestion. Candice, Brandi and Char are the most friendly and professional house staff while Preston, Shane, and Kyle provide comfort breakfasts every morning of your stay. You will be very well cared. Please avail yourself to an Energy session with Brooke Howsley on Friday mornings and find a Sarah Rothman Hatha class during your stay for sure. Enjoy!

PPengguna TetamuWe normally stay at 5 Diamond hotels but since the prices and availability have risen so quickly we opted to book at the Residence Inn. Wow, what a pleasant surprise! The staff is friendly and helpful. The room is actually the size of a studio apartment with a kitchenette. Two full size queen beds with a pull out sofa too. Lots of outlets to plug in all your electronics and no need to move furniture to find them. Full buffet breakfast included daily. I’m gluten free and had plenty of options to choose from each day. Pool & spa are open late, live music Tuesday & Friday, great bar menu and the bartender, Chewy, is the best!! We went off road ATV’ing and our clothes were filthy with red dirt… guest what? Guest laundry 24/7 along with detergent to buy at the front desk. We will definitely stay here again. We met a few other people who shared it was their first time at the hotel too and they were very impressed. Book this hotel now, you’ll be happy you did!

Upon arrival, I was met with a seemingly indifferent check-in process, lacking the warmth and hospitality that one would expect from a luxury resort. The lobby, though modern, felt sterile and lacked the charm that I had hoped to find in a Hawaiian escape. While the resort's surroundings were undeniably beautiful, the state of the facilities was a letdown. The infinity pools, though picturesque, were overcrowded, and finding a comfortable spot to relax was a challenge. The beachfront location was indeed stunning, but the beach itself felt overcrowded and neglected, with trash and debris left unattended. The accommodations were underwhelming, with the room feeling more dated than luxurious. The lack of attention to detail was evident in the tired furnishings and lack of proper maintenance. I encountered issues with cleanliness, and the absence of a ventilation system in the bathroom made it a humid and unpleasant space. Dining at Andaz Maui was a disappointing experience, mainly due to the exorbitant prices for mediocre food. The breakfast buffet, though featuring a variety of options, was far from worth the cost, leaving me feeling like I had been taken advantage of as a guest. The staff's overall service was inconsistent, with some members appearing disinterested and unresponsive to guest needs. It was evident that the resort lacked a cohesive approach to guest satisfaction, resulting in an unmemorable and disheartening stay. While the resort's location offered access to nearby attractions, the lack of shuttle services or convenient transportation options made it a hassle to explore the area. In conclusion, Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort fell short of providing the luxury experience I had anticipated. The lackluster accommodations, disappointing dining options, and hit-or-miss service left me feeling dissatisfied with my stay. I would caution potential guests to carefully consider their expectations and alternatives before choosing this resort for their Hawaiian vacation.

Been to the Grand Wailea a couple times before but this was the first visit where I went to check out the fitness center and found it to be a highlight of the stay. Lots of great equipment, open 24 hrs, and almost always empty (except for early in the morning when I saw a few other guests). Wish I could use the facility without being a guest.
If I had to pick a downside to it, then it would probably be renovations going on. Although the noise never bothered me during the stay, it was mostly an aesthetic annoyance with the signs and blocked off areas.

PPengguna TetamuThis was my first time to Maui. We loved the AC hotel. It is a smallish hotel. It has a beautiful infinity swimming pool and nice large spa. The patio area has a nice bar and they will serve you appetizers. The pool towels were always stocked. Many chairs and lounges with umbrellas. You can see the ocean from the pool but not the waves. The breakfast was very good. They had hot items that they made for you as well as a buffet of the cold items. Good coffee and many drinks to choose from. The last day they raised the all you can eat breakfast from $25 to $30. So that was a bummer. The room was very clean and minimalistic. We stayed on the garden side. Our adult son and wife were on the pool side and they said it was somewhat noisy. The pool closes at 9 pm. The view wasn’t that great of the ocean and it was an increased cost. The mattress was quite firm but not uncomfortable. It was about the firmest mattress that I have ever had in a hotel. I slept okay, but I would not say the mattress felt luxurious. The area the hotel is in is gorgeous. The ocean is fairly close. You may be able to walk but we drove. I met a woman who was a Maui native. She was having breakfast in the hotel . She was just there to have breakfast with a friend. She said that this hotel is a little gem. I agree and I would definitely stay there again. The Monkeypod restaurant is a short walk up the hill. The food was delicious. You would probably need a reservation.
