Bayside Villas

Turned up to a dirty unit, no sorry just the one next door is available. Old and outdated furniture and overall, mold in bathroom, spider webs everywhere. For what we paid $325, I would recommend elsewhere as nothing going on in Walpole, so won’t go back.

Reading reviews from July 2023 not much has been done. We stayed in Village #1 and we wouldn’t stay here again. Since there is no staff or anyone else around nothing gets checked. The villa was large but so uninviting. The bathroom not very clean and the outside BBQ was a heap of rust. A complete refurbishment is needed.

The villa was clean, roomy and had a comfortable bed. Massive bath that would fit a family of four in so didn’t bother as it would use so much water. Washing machine but no tumble dryer, microwave and hob but no oven.No Wi Fi. Don’t stop in Warpole in the winter as nothing much open. We ended up buying so food from the Grocery. Pemberton is a better bet as much more going on.

If you even remotely value your health, I would recommend not staying here. The bathroom was infested with mould all over the tops of walls and the window sill. Thankfully I only had a short stay but a lengthier stay would leave you very susceptible to sickness from the mould. There’s limited accommodation in Walpole but anywhere would be better than this place.

The 2-bedroom villa we had was comfortable and very spacious and also has a carport. The beds were great as well as utilities in house. Few villas have this option. A great plus for us, as the rain relentless at the start of our holiday. Close to the Nornalup Inlet and Houseboat rentals (next door). Lovely gardens and 6 Villas 2 & 3 bedrooms onsite. Consider these villas when next in Walpole WA. Affordable prices.

We booked for a family long weekend and there's so much to see in the area. The location is close to everything and is in a beautiful spot, close to the river. At first glance, the cottages looked nice, but they really do need some repair. In our unit, there were some structural cracks inside. Our bathroom there was quite a bit of mould on the wall above the shower and spots in the grout on the tiles. The curtain in the main bedroom was coming off the track. There aren't any locks on the fly screen doors. Minor things that wouldn't cost much to fix. My families unit was similar to us with no locks on flyscreen doors, and the laundry door couldn't be opened. There was water damage in a corner of the living area with a crack cause by a blocked gutter (weeds growing in it). The worst was the structural cracks on the support columns for the balcony that had major cracking and really needs fixing. We couldn't fault the housekeeping ladies. They were amazing. For what you pay a night, the new owners need to spend some money on the property.

We arrived after dark and found it very hard to locate the apartments. The address took us to an intersection 100 meters past where it actually was and it was next to no signs showing where it was. When we finally found it we had a great stay, but I noticed some very simple improvements that could be made: - Better signs showing where it is (maybe also better info beforehand) - There was a bathtub in the apartment, but no bathtub stopper, so we couldn't actually use it. - The beds were made, but the duve's was not put in the sheets, so we had to do it ourselves. All theese things are small and very simple to fix. However, there was NO WIFI at the apartment. In 2023 I take it for granted that you get wifi when renting a place to stay. On the plus side: The apartments vere big and very nice. The beds were very good to sleep in, the place was neat and tidy. It was reasonably cheap. I would strongly recoomend staying here, but I would also like to hope that they improve on the things I mentioned.

Stayed here for two nights in villa number 1. The good things for us were… -the lovely location near the water and just by the small town -the quiet and open gardens full of bird life -the very spacious detached villa with a well equipped kitchen -comfy bed. However, not able to give a higher rating because.. -the villa had a bit of a grubby feel from being well used-rusty outside seats, old doormats, net curtain hanging off -we were left cold with the exceptionally cool weather as there is only one aircon/heating unit for the whole spacious property. Would suggest owners provide additional heating in such circumstances-we did call and ask but were told this was not possible.
