Hotel berhampiran Mazowiecki Park Krajobrazowy im. Czesława Łaszka, Warsaw

Over the years I stayed several times at this hotel, although its location is not very convenient for a tourist in Warsaw or for people having business downtown. Nonetheless, in the past I choose often to stay here because, in my opinion, this was the hotel of the Hilton group providing the greatest comfort, luxury and good treatment in all Poland. I come back after two years of absence due to the pandemic, and I discover that it is no longer so. Let me anyway say that the hotel remains pleasant and comfortable as before, but its top-quality performances are over. The first reason of my present discontent is in the food, once a strong point of this hotel. Breakfast now appears sloppily conceived and prepared: I stayed at the hotel 7 days, and for 7 days I had to eat my omelette without any accompanying side dish because the baked potatoes, the stewed beans and the bacon were definitely undercooked, and I was forced to leave them on the plate, untouched. Then I turned my attention to the sweets, which were nicely represented by the Belgian waffles and the pancakes, but I had to renounce to both of them because they were offered either without any topping at all (like the Belgian waffles) or with totally inappropriate ones (enough to say that the main toppings made available for the pancakes were ketchup and mayonnaise !). The rest of the breakfast was reasonable, but nothing special. Anyway, based on the experience made with breakfast, I avoided having any other meals at the hotel, even if this involved taking a bus and going downtown, several kilometres away. Another reason of my dissatisfaction was the evident change in the way of relating to customers. Formerly, relations were warm and welcoming, as it is appropriate in a classy hotel, but this time all contacts were cold, detached and strictly functional, as if taking care of the customer was considered an annoyance to be disposed of as quickly as possible. Certainly I was served correctly, but during my 7-days stay I never got a smile, nor was I ever greeted with a welcoming ”hello, how are you to day ?”. Upon departure, no one took care of asking me the classic question ”was everything OK with your stay ?”, and, having transmitted in writing some comments to the management (including the praise for one member of the staff who still maintains a high-profile style in its relations with the customers) I did not get any reply from them. Simple lapses in style, of course; but these lapses normally occur in hotels with few stars. To complete the picture, I shall also mention that at check-in I had enormous difficulties in obtaining such a modest advantage as a room with external view, although I am a Diamond member of the Hilton Honors program. Lastly, I was really disappointed with the elimination of the ”executive lounge”. Perfect one bedroom apartment. Clean with a big windows, small but comfortable beds. Nice big bathroom and spacious hallway with plenty of clothes space. Kitchen equip with all necessary gadgets to prepare meals. A love the aria to take a walk or go grocery shopping and few restaurants.

Comfortable-ish, but will not return. This is a rental flat apartment complex near Wilanow. It’s far from the city center, can be done with public transportation (bus stop a few steps away) in ~ 40-60 minutes, or with a taxi in 15-30 minutes. There is a Zabka a few minutes walk away but nothing else nearby. On the plus, the surroundings are quiet. My flat (“premium”) was reasonably sized (not large), had a double bed, wardrobe, nice bath (with washing machine – think only the premium flats have these) and a kitchenette – double hob, sink, small fridge (no freezer…) and a microwave. No oven. Lighting was nice and bright, bit of a lack of natural light (inexplicably small and high window in kitchenette). Set out a bit like a studio flat. Enough storage space, wifi worked fine. The furnishings are mid-level Ikea quality, which is a shame – could be much nicer. Maintenance could be better – door lock was dodgy, curtains did not fully close. The real problem is no soundproofing. There was only a regular door separating my flat and the one next door – could hear their conversations as though they were in my flat. Noise travels easily from the flat above – an insomniac in the flat above decided to move all the furniture around at 11pm every night…. In fairness, the price was low so this does represent fair VFM. However, next time I’ll stick to the city center – with a hotel that has decent soundproofing. If you do go – get an upper-floor room.

Abbiamo seguito mio marito che è venuto a Varsavia per lavoro. Abbiamo soggiornato qui 2 notti, perchè a 100m dalla ditta in cui lui doveva andare. L'albergo si trova in un quartiere periferico e in via di sviluppo, non comodissimo per andare in centro, perchè bisognava prendere il bus e poi la metro, impiegando quasi 50 minuti. La camera ha il frigo, ma vuoto, ha poche prese e viene pulita e rifatta solo se se ne fa richiesta, come è spiegato sulla porta del bagno. Noi avevamo 2 letti singoli grandi e comodi. La colazione non è inclusa nel prezzo, costa 10 euro a persona. Alla reception danno i voucher per la colazione da consegnare al mattino. La sala colazione è piccolina, con non molto assortimento, soprattutto dolce (ci sono solo yogurt e marmellatine), un po' più fornita la parte salata. Se si è a Varsavia per turismo, consiglio a parità di prezzo, una struttura più centrale, nonostante questa sia abbastanza comoda all'aeroporto (15 minuti in auto)

I had a reservation done on 07.07.2022 for the night of 08.07.2022, but on 30.06.2022 I have received an email from V Hotel informing me that the reservation was canceled, and no other details. After a fast investigation, I came to the conclusion that it was canceled because of a failed attempt of payment on 30.06.2022, due to an insufficient balance on my Revolut account. A couple of hours after getting the email (around 17:00), I called the hotel to understand what was the possibilities of recovering the booking as I added enough funds on my Revolut account. I was told by the receptionist that probably it was possible, however the manager was not in the hotel, he had no idea on how to do it and that I would get a phone call one the manager would be on the hotel. I've waited until the next day, but got no call. I decided to call on the next morning (09:40) and another receptionist told me that the manager would be arriving in 20 minutes, and they would call me when that would happen. I waited 4 hours and had no contact whatsoever. So, I decided to call them again (at 13:30). I was greeted by another receptionist, that simply suggested that I would create another booking. Which I replied that I would like to have the old booking back has now the price would be much higher. Then I was told that no other rooms were available on the hotel, contradicting the previous suggestion. After showing my disappointment for the lack of flexibility and effort to try to solve the issue in good terms, I was told once again that they would call me when the manager would come back. I asked when that would be and I was told that it would be on 05.07 or 06.07 (so I would be waiting for a reply until 2 days before the date of check in - assuming that they would call me). Obviously, I refused that since I would have to start looking for another hotel room right away. In the end of the call, I asked for the name of the person to which I was talking to and in return the receptionist hanged the phone on me (I was never rude or indelicate). Prime example of professionalism! To consider that 08.07 is the day of a concert of Coldplay in Warsaw and the demand for hotel rooms is very high for that day, and the hotel canceled my reservation on the first try to get the payment, in order to get another booking that would give them more money. In result, I lost my reservation and had to book a much more expensive hotel room elsewhere. My main complaints here are: - I only got one email, without any details on why the reservation was canceled; - There was no attempt to contact me over the phone in order to proceed with the payment on a different way; - The attempts of just make wait for their call until I would forget or give up; - The utterly unprofessional atitude of the last receptionist with whom I spoke, that didn't do any effort to solve the issue, gave me contradictory information and hang up the phone in my face. I stayed there for a month waiting for a travel visa to be granted. That required me to re-book a room, often on a daily basis in case the visa was granted. I initially used a travel agent to book the room for 2 nights at the advertised price of around £40 (212 PLN) per night. When I asked to extend by one night I was charged 1080 PLN which is over 5 times the price. I obviously complained and was clearly told to go elsewhere if I didn't like the price. I have all the receipts as proof. I reverted to asking my UK travel agent to book the room and was charged the advertised price again (allowing for rate fluctuations). They were not happy. After that, the price varied from 216 to 290 PLN per night. I was moved 7 times to a variety of rooms over the period I was there. I have to say that most of the staff were polite except for the manager.
