Our room was on the second floor. When we arrived the heat was 74 degrees. I turned the heat down to 68 as I like it a little cooler for sleeping. We dropped our belongings off and immediately left for a concert. We returned to the room late, and the room temp was 78. I was so tired, I turned the heat off and turned the air conditioner on. When we woke about 7am, the room temp was 81. I went downstairs to ask if they had a portable air conditioning unit as our room was unbearable. The desk clerk stated no, but they would send maintenance up. The maintenance person stated the hotel had turned the air off, that the hotel had new and older heating units, and we were on the older unit. He opened our windows and said there was nothing they could do. It was 40 degrees outside so it cooled the room down, but because we were facing the main road, it was extremely noisy with car horns and sirens. Not the best way to start the day.
