We've stayed at other five-star hotels, but the luxury, opulence and level of service of this hotel just swept me off my feet. Sometimes my teen daughter feels out of place in ”fancy” settings, but the staff were so welcoming that she was at ease for our whole stay. We were first greeted by the valet Dennis (”Dennis the Menace”). He was energetically welcoming and his smile can't be resisted - you just have to smile back. He gave us bottles of Evian and escorted us inside, where he introduced us to Said at the front desk. Check in was quick and efficient but without feeling rushed. We arrived a bit early and our room was being cleaned, so we sat in the breath-taking atrium and just soaked in the beauty. They had added cherry blossom decorations that were stunning. I have included pictures. I booked a king guest room, but I believe we were upgraded to a 585 sq ft premium guest room, 2 levels up. It was formally decorated and very luxurious, but not at all fussy or overbearing. A very helpful bellman escorted us to our room and showed us some of the features, such as the electronic ”do not disturb” light and the electric curtains & sheers. The mini bar was well-stocked with a variety of liquors and mixers as well as a split of champagne (Veuve Clicqot if I remember correctly). The hotel is walking distance to some of our favorite museums and attractions, but we ended up spending extra time in the room, just reveling in the luxury! The mattress was moderately firm and incredibly comfortable. The pillows were large and soft but supportive for side sleepers. And that oversized bathtub... I want one in my home! I am 5'8” and my feet did not touch the opposite end when I bathed. The water came almost to my shoulders. And Frette bathrobes afterwards was such a thoughtful touch! We ended up not using the shower, which was the size of a regular hotel's entire bathroom and was equipped with both an overhead shower head and a hand-held sprayer. I booked the room too late to go to tea or the spa, but I did peek in on both. I almost wish I didn't because both were so enticing. We had breakfast delivered to our room and it was delicious. We did not hear any noise outside our room. There are plenty of outlets for plugging in multiple chargers. Check out was equally smooth and efficient. A bellman arrived within minutes of my request. Said processed the checkout and remembered that we were traveling for my daughter's 17th birthday. Recalling that kind of detail impresses me that he was actually listening when we chatted at check-in. Dennis was outside again when we left. He gave us fresh bottles of Evian while our luggage was being loaded and sent us on our way with smiles. If we return to DC, staying at the Waldorf Astoria again will be our obvious choice!

1era Vez en un Pendry, Hotel nuevo, con lindo diseño, moderno, muy buena zona de piscina (aunque pudiera ser climatizada), la habitación y baño también con buen diseño y moderna de tamaño justo y con limitado espacio para guardado de ropa y equipaje, cama muy cómoda y buenos amenities aunque con algunos faltantes para la categoría que pretende, lo mismo para el servicio, por eso no le di 5 estrellas, le falta eso que sorprenda y que si tienen otras cadenas de lujo ese mimo extra, ese saludo, esa sonrisa de quienes te reciben cada día, de las 5 noches que pasamos en el hotel, solo 2 noches había quien te abriera la puerta y saludara algo mínimo para este tipo de hotel, si es la verdad que la persona que si estuvo esas 2 noches era super amable aunque no se su nombre para mencionarlo, también fueron amables las personas de housekeeping aunque sería mejor no tener que estar reclamando x faltantes o esperar al telefóno 10 minutos para que alguien atienda, tampoco ofrecen servicio de Turn Dawn a pesar de que antes de reservar nos habían dicho que si, al estar en el hotel nos dijeron que eso estaba reservado solo para determinado tipo de habitaciones, el bar del rooftop es bastante popular por lo que a las noches el vestíbulo se llena y complica el acceso a los ascensores a pesar de que tienen un ascensor exclusivo para esto, también tienen personal que habla español en la recepción y es muy amable así que si lo necesitan pueden solicitarlo, la zona es de lo mejor, lleno de restaurantes, lugares para pasear y pasar el rato hasta tarde en la noche y todos los días de la semana, buen ambiente, mucha gente divirtiéndose y pasándola bien, botes, muelles, fogones, sin dudarlo para nosotros fue la mejor zona de DC para hospedarnos y poder disfrutar de la ciudad y de esta parte de nuestras vacaciones de 1 mes en USA A pesar de los pequeños detalles mencionados que espero puedan mejorarlos no dudo de que si volviéramos a DC volveríamos a elegir este hotel y esta zona ya que fueron parte de nuestra excelentes vacaciones en DC

In summary it’s a pleasant, very well-located hotel, and FOH staff work hard to keep customers happy. But poor fit and finish in rooms, chaotic housekeeping, billing issues, and slow customer support aren’t in keeping with the luxury positioning. In depth: Reception staff were superb: friendly, helpful, professional, and a surprise upgrade to a suite was most welcome. The restaurant is also very good and its staff, while occasionally overattentive, do a good job. Location couldn’t be much better for easy walks to a plethora of DC’s sights, museums, restaurants, shops, and transport. The rooms lack a luxury look and feel. They’re spacious and afford impressive views, but blandly and sp****ly furnished in a way that feels very cost conscious. Sound insulation is poor, to the extent that conversations and TVs in neighbouring rooms are clearly audible, as is street noise during peak times. Water pressure is extremely low, so the rain shower is rather more like soft drizzle . As with other Hilton hotels since the pandemic, there’s no minibar, no menus, no guest directory. It all feels rather spartan. Housekeeping is poor. Carpets and soft furnishings seemed grubby. The sofa, in particular, had several stains that looked like they could be removed if anyone cared to try. Clean glasses placed in the room had lip marks on the rim. Our coffee supplies were often not replenished. The second time we mentioned it, on returning to our room, we found two plastic bags stuffed with coffee, sugar, and cream dumped on the table — a distinct “here, stop bothering us” vibe. The breakfast, though very nice, is costly if you’re not getting the Food & Beverage Credit. There’s no end of alternatives nearby. There’s an obligatory 25% tip plus $5 delivery on room service. Laundry costs are such that I found it more cost effective to simply buy some extra clothes. Finally, our Food & Beverage Credit wasn’t applied to our bill. Hilton don’t answer replies to your receipt, so you have to fuss with corporate contact centres, chatbots and web forms. Took nearly a week to get a response, though to their credit they cleared our food bill as a goodwill gesture.

Imagine being rudely and unprofessionally accused of violating hotel policy when you did nothing wrong. Well this is exactly what happened to me on 2/23 at Yotel DC. Around 3pm my husband and I went downstairs to get his food delivery and decided to sit in the lobby to eat it. As we were sitting down, we were aggressively confronted by the security for allegedly smoking in the garage. As per the security we had been identified as the people in question. When I negated that we had even been in the garage or smoking, the security proceeded to rudely inform us about hotel policy and warn us not to smoke. I again informed them that I don't even smoke which was abruptly dismissed. Despite the clearly unwarranted behavior we continued to try to enjoy our stay. Now imagine returning to your room after spending hundreds on dinner only to be harassed by the same security on the same day for a noise complaint. Well you guessed it this is exactly what happened to my husband and I. While upstairs there was a heavy alarming banging on the door. Since this was around 10pm, both my husband and myself were confused who would be at the door. When I answered it was the same security from earlier again with an accusatory tone. This time she stated that she had a noise complaint. Both my husband and I were flabbergasted as we were not at all being loud since we were watching a cooking show - Beat Bobby Flay (sigh... Still don't know who won). When asked if they heard any noise, the security admitted that they actually didn't. As we were talking to the security about feeling harassed and targeted the African American Manager with short hair stormed towards us saying ”what's the problem”. We attempted to explain to her our displeasure with how we were being treated when she informed us that we were disturbing her guests implying that we were not guests. When my husband questioned her statement and noted that we also were paying guests she informed us that we were checking out and directed security to ”get them up outta here”. Despite us having a 3 night reservation apparently we were not what she considered guests and so the unprofessional manager had no problem aggressively speaking to us or proceeding to kick us out the hotel at 10pm at night. *SARCASTICALLY* AMAZING The YOTEL aka hostel masquerading as a modern hotel has hard as nails futons for beds and is a small box with no microwave. It's not at all worth the money and honestly just save yourself and book elsewhere. Now I was willing to over look it's quaint aka tiny accommodations until being accused of smoking and violating hotel policy when I don't even smoke and then harassed about making noise when I was watching tv. I've always heard that ”all skin folk ain't kinfolk” but have never experienced this until I encounter this manager. I hate to describe her as the African American manager with the short hair however she refused to give her name so that's all I got. The manager called the police on us s

A HUGE disappointment awaits for unsuspecting travelers. I booked a stay in trendy Navy Yard because I like to try new areas. Was in DC for 2 nights to pitch a design project. I had paid for an upgraded room category so I’d have a terrace and a view of the Capitol. I used the Bonvoy app to make sure I had extra towels and pillows upon arrival. I arrived in DC and went immediately to my meetings and then to dinner with clients so didn’t arrive at the property until 830PM on Friday night. I knew the property had a rooftop bar so I asked at the reception desk to not be put on the floor beneath the bar and Robin said my room wasn’t. I was assigned room 431 - which was spacious and clean. However: the electronic blackout drapes and one of three of the black out shades were off the track so light flooded in, the sheer shades on one window were hanging and on another window not functioning at all. Bright blue light from the glass front mini fridge made the room glow (covered with a towel), a glowing green light from a power cord did the same (unplugged) and the toilet paper holder hanging off the wall. 4 hangers in an open closet- I had clothes for a black tie event and 2 outfits to hang and couldn’t. BUT - the absolute worse was the fact that ALL NORTH FACING ROOMS in the hotel face I-395 expressway!! An 8 lane road with 55MPH limits! The 4th floor literally the same level as the highway! The terrace unusable as it was covered in exhaust soot and the roar that of traffic overwhelmed. I put in earplugs and literally slept with a pillow on my head! I was up at 5AM when the traffic started the next AM. I called the front desk and told them I’d need to change rooms and the 5AM manager said to contact the desk again at 9A when housekeeping arrived. I went down at 9A and spoke to Robin again (she was very nice and def tried to help)- I told her I was going out for a run and if I could change rooms on return that would be great. When I returned to the hotel I was told my room category would have to be downgraded- no Capitol view or terrace - and that the room would be on a lower floor - BUT IT WAS STILL FACING THE HIGHWAY! I went back to my room and just decided to leave it alone rather than ruin my busy day. The front desk manager was at the desk when I had both conversations with Robin and she made no offer of anything as an apology- no comp breakfast, no comp drink coupons at the rooftop bar, no Bonvoy points - nothing. A simple feature would have def made me at least feel acknowledged. My 2 night stay in the upgraded room category was $971.66- so almost $1000 for two horrible nights of no sleep. This hotel was a HUGE disappointment and an embarrassment to the Marriott brand.

What an absolutely amazing stay in the nations capital. My room was incredibly clean and it was even quiet, considering that there was a rooftop bar with live music. I slept well. And, I’m really grateful that they are in such close proximity to a Walgreens, which is right on the corner. I travel often and often forget a thing or two or just need simple things like bottles of water (I drink half a gallon to a gallon per day). But I want to give a big huge shout out to the staff particularly Jessica, Michael and Chris. I was traveling with someone with dementia. We were in town for the Alzheimer’s Association ball. And, they truly treated my travel companion with kid gloves! The staff were considerate to her needs and patient with her every step of the way. I even accidentally left my jacket in the hotel room trying to take care of my friend and Jessica call me later on that day to let me know that she found it and that she would personally ship it out. This jacket is very personal and special to me and has quite a bit of sentimental value so I’m so incredibly grateful that I didn’t lose it and that it’s on the way back to me. This was a great stay, a great hotel! You feel safe in a big city and the café downstairs has some of the best coffee I’ve ever had in my life!

我們是坐Amtrak到Washington DC的,從First Street 出口,靠右邊,沿著National Postal Museum走,路經大名鼎鼎的Georgetown University Law Center.幾分鍾就到了。國會山,博物館都可以步行到達。只是周圍没有什麼商店,要買些東西可以去Amtrak Union Stationh地下的walgreens. 在Union Station 也有快餐店,pizza 店。如果要去chinatown, 也在不遠處,走6-7條街,在Street 6-7之間。
