Location ok, food also good. Try to include more kerala food for lunch, dum biriyani, sambar and sadhya.

We stayed for 3 days, property is nice rooms are very spacious but buffet breakfast didn't match the standards of resort it is not good so instead book room without breakfast and take a call to opt for breakfast depending on what they've on the day you're visiting.

Location is super but all other things are average. They need upgrade in rooms furniture as looks very old. Breakfast was good but lunch and dinner were not that good. Most of the rooms are without ac so difficult to sleep during summer due to lack of ventilation.

Good afternoon. My husband and I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days at Upvan Resort Lakkidi, in the first week of March. We had a great stay. Big and clean room facing the mountains. The Manager Anil. Front office staff Divya made our stay super comfy. They arranged for a car to do sightseeing. Mr.Shahnavaz the driver was a blessing. I told him all the places I wanted to see and he planned a perfect itinerary. Coming to the room the coffee, tea,sugar,creamer and waterbottles were refilled everyday without our telling. This usually NEVER happens in other hotels. The property is so good with watch tower, pool etc. On the flip side is the restaurant experience. Maybe it was off-season Dhanya madam did her best to make our dining experience comfortable but low score on taste.. We highly recommend this resort.

The property is very old except for one category of rooms that we stayed in which they call hill view premium rooms which is built recently. The view from hill view rooms were nice but the swimming pool was not clean in this building there is no one else on that building for service or anything, plus it’s hardly occupied so feels very spooky given the wild trees all around blocking visibility to down. The climb to top is steep and uphill so u need to have a car. If travel-ling alone or as a couple i suggest skip booking this place. Also just this category rooms is good rest all r look kinda old and rusted so a big no! cons- the staff is unwelcoming, non friendly and arrogant. They know nothing about customer service. Hardly saw any support staff for this huge old property. Food is bad, buffet has less options and tastes extremely sad. Roads are very steep and uphill making it difficult to climb to the remaining cottages also which means no senior citizens should visit the property or other people who have difficulty in walking should skip to choose this.

The place is beautifully located in the middle of lush green forest with a view of tea gardens and a lovely valley. The staff was extremely polite and courteous. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The view from our balcony was spectacular. The highlight was the jungle walk with their in house naturalist who took us around for an amazing bird watching session. The food was alright. Has scope for improvement. They offered variety but was a limited menu to chicken and one vegetarian main dish for the buffet. Since the resort is slightly distant from the town, the resort’s restaurant is the only option for food. Overall, it was a beautiful experience at flora vythiri with the biggest credits to the cleanliness, view and a very hospitable staff! will definitely go back.
