Hotel berhampiran St. Peter Und Paul, Wegberg

Wir waren vom 02. - 04.09. im H4 Hotel (Zimmer 304, DFB-Pokalfinale 1973 gegen den 1. FC Köln), alles sehr modern und sauber, super Ausblick vom Zimmer auf die Trainingsplätze! Super bequeme Betten, sehr gut regelbare und leise Klimaanlage. Dusche (mit Regendusche) wird über elektrische Tasten auf das Grad genau geregelt. Das Panoramafenster im Zimmer kann mit elektrischer Jalousie komplett verdunkelt werden. Frühstück gibt es in der Fohlensportsbar, war TipTop! Abendessen haben wir auch in der Fohlensportsbar eingenommen, hat uns auch super gefallen. Für mich als Borussia-Fan war das Wochenende im Hotel ein Traum, aber auch meine Dame als Nicht-Borussia-Fan war begeistert! Vielen Dank nochmals das mein Wunschzimmer möglich gemacht wurde :-)

We wanted to find a cheap stay at a hotel in Mönchengladbach. Normally mcdreams is the choice…sub 50€ with free parking. This is quite basic and no frills 3 star accommodation. But in Germany 3 stars means a lot…even when basic. It’s clean, great beds, bathroom … great price quality. While looking I got a special offer for this hotel on **********. 50€ per room per night. This hotel has what I call the trifecta. Great price, free parking and free breakfast. But it was so so much better thans expected. To be honest the pictures on the website didn’t do this hotel any justice at all. We almost cancelled because it looks dated and with shabby bathroom. Let’s do the bad first. The floor in the room…looks very shiny, plasticky. But it was meticulously clean and walking on it is beer than on the carpets that just doesn’t feel clean enough in older hotels. The bathroom I must say feel and looks old. That’s due to the white tiles and bathtub I guess. But bathroom was meticulously clean and all in working order. The bath is really not so functional, quite high. So elderly or less flexible persons must be careful when getting in or out from bath. But great if you have a baby or kids I guess. In our room the shower didn’t have a thermostat and the water temperature moved around a bit…from coldish to too hot…and everything in between. That’s a negative, but water pressure was good. But the rest was much much better then expected. First of all free parking underneath the hotel. But I think the street is free parking too. Location is in upper residential area so feels really safe in the street. Weirdly you can enter the hotel via the garage…but the door doesn’t open from the outside. Also no chance to call reception topen it. This means when you arrive you need to walk outside on quite a steep climb to enter hotel at reception. The rooms as I mentioned was very clean and quite spacious. There is a good working TV. Beds are great. Sadly two singles, but at 90cm that’s a good width. You get two pillows and there is plenty of plugs to use. For the summer..unfortunately no AC. What really sets this place apart is the amenities provided. It shames 4/5 star hotels. From toothbrushes, shaving kit, toilet wet wipes, to sewing and even a shoeshine kit.wow. The best I saved the best for last. The free breakfast. We got a full German breakfast. The downside it was at the nearby elisenhof hotel. The good thing….It was top quality breakfast. In 5 star hotels I have had breakfast with more choice, but it was not so tasty or of such quality. Don’t get me wrong. It had everything.bacon. Sausage, 2 types scrambled egg, salmon, and the usual continental spread. The breads was great and cold cuts with local specialty always good. The juice bar was tops with fresh squeezed OJ machine. A very satisfying start of the day. I cant recommend this place enough. The price quality king..even if without the extra discount.

Lokasi hotel sangat baik, persekitarannya sangat indah, biliknya bagus, ada cerek, resepsi sangat bersemangat, kebersihannya juga sangat baik, sangat berpuas hati, lain kali saya pergi tinggal di sini

L’accueil était très chaleureux. Tout le personnel est très professionnel et agréable. La chambre est très bien, avec une literie confortable. La salle de bain est bien garnie (savon, et accessoires, etc). Côté restaurant, la carte est variée et les plats sont bien réalisés. Nous vous le recommandons ! Du côté du petit déjeuner, difficile de faire mieux. En effet il y a des œufs, du bacon, des saucisses, des viennoiseries, des pistolets, du pain, du fromage de la charcuterie des confitures. C’était parfait ! Petit bémol : le sauna compris est un sauna nudiste, il serait bien de l’annoncer. Cela évite les surprises.

Sehr angenehme Kommunikation und Service. Wenn ich das nächste Mal komme, werde ich definitiv in diesem Hotel übernachten 😊.

Because of train delays I had to find a hotel in the middle of the night. Crown Select was the third one that I contacted by phone, they asked me to bring 100 euros of cash as a deposit. I explained that I didn't carry that amount of cash with me and that I could pay the hotel bill in advance (by bank-card) but they insisted (policy of that hotel). With a taxi driver i had to find an available ATM / cash machine, which generated a much bigger taxi bill (many cash machines weren't available in Mönchen-Gladbach after 22 o'clock). In my opinion this policy is un-human, un-necessary (people leave their passport not for no reason!!!). un-inviting (especially when in an unpleasant situation at midnight as I was in). THIS SHOULD BE FORBIDDEN. Pity for the hotel - anything else was good - one could skip the over-priced breakfast for 19 euros though.
