Hotel Weil am Rhein dengan Bar

I travel a lot and usually dont care about the exterior of the Hotels but the inside and staff is important. Worker at the desk was very polite and skilled when i checked in. When i entered the room... abt 300 Euro a night! To say its old to say nothing - like in the old good USSR times in Moscow, Sankt Petersburg, DDR side of Berlin! 40 years ago, what a nostalgic feeling, smell of old carpet, never cleaned AC. Had to open window to get fresh air insine. Paint art on the wall by Natalie Goller - Innenraum Rußland. Was für ein Zufall! For 300 Euro a night! First evening at the Restaurant i choose Wiener Schnitzel with salad and French fries 🍟. My first Wiener Schnitzel ever and never ever if this piece of smashed to 3 mm dry pork was the real Wiener Schnitzel then sorry... Only good thing was the salad. At the hotel restaurant For 300 Euro a night! Breakfast was outstanding, nothing special at the hotel restaurant For 300 Euro a night! Asked in the morning if they do laundry the answer was - no, but whae i asked again at the desk in an hotel for 300 Euro a night the lady called someone and repeated what he heard on the other side of the line - laundry is the responsibility of the guests. Means do your self At the hotel For 300 Euro a night! Finally me and the lady on the desk figured out that the hotel does outsource the laundry to a third party company. Duration - few days, At the hotel For 300 Euro a night! Complimentary water only upon arrival, At the hotel For 300 Euro a night! Kettle, tea in room? Deam on! At the hotel For 300 Euro a night! What doesn't kills us makes us laughing 😆 At the hotel For 300 Euro a night!

This hotel is in an area in a very busy shopping center. Traffic was horrific. Once there, we find out that we must park on the 6 th floor of the parking garage not attached to the hotel. Then poorly and missmarked descriptions guided us to take our luggage down to the 0 floor(but there is no 0 button on the elevator), go through the shopping mall, go outside and then enter another area and go up to another 6th floor to registration. The front desk said oh yes they knew everything was poorly marked and laid out but didn't seem to care. They said the traffic is always bad on weekends. It took over an hour to go 1 km, up to the top of the bumper to bumper cars in line parking garage, find space on crowded shopping elevator, go down to street, thru the mall and up to 6th floor registration. Lots of road construction in the area as well to compound. The rooms are very spacious, clean and nicely lit.

Arrived at 4:30 am and Zain the night receptionist was very helpful indeed. Great to have easy access parking. Hotel not well sign posted. Look for Best Western as in same building.Clean and comfortable room. Relaxed and ready for onward journey.
