Location is 5star! Near train station and interisland ferry. If u r coming from an interisland ferry, use the free transport from terminal to train station and just walk to hotel from there! Save taxi expense :-) old bldg but everything’s working. Stayed in double en suite room and it had all we needed including coffee tea and fresh milk station in room! It was a wonderful surprise for the price we paid for. Breakfast for NZ$15 at the restaurant on ground floor was excellent and very worth the price. Will definitely use this place again. Highly recommended. Btw, airport bus is also a walking distance from the hotel and its only NZ$10/adult :-)

Stayed two nights, good location however there is bit noisey at night due to the traffics. Besides that the room and services are worth the price. Recommended for people on a budget trip.

The location is superb , right in the heart of Wellington CBD and close to a lot of tourist attractions but the building itself in general needs renovation. The service at reception is excellent (polite, friendly, professional). Highly recommended for one/two nights stay, especially at an affordable price like it was $40 per night compared to other overvalued accommodations. Happy with my journey to Wellington!

Good location, near by quite easy to access. Great for backpackers.

Good mix between a hostel and a hotel. I thought the building’s age was charming. Very close to the ferry port, government buildings and the stadium.

Very decent and perfect for the quick stop! Check in and check out were a bit slow and we did a bit of running around at the end trying to check out as we were not told we would be charged if we didn’t hand our keycards back (we left them in the room). Other than that, the place was perfect and cosy! Very comfy beds!

Good location, next to the Wellington Railway Station. With many restaurant nearby. Big room, a little bit cold but good privacy. Shower is good and comfortable.

Great location. Outdated rooms, but the price reflects it. For shared double rooms got 3 big bedrooms and a single toilet. Was quite inconvenient in the morning.

It was very nice. Nice room and only a 20 minute walk to the city center

Place was very different from pictures. Quite run down and old. The tv was a perk. For a very budget stay it’s okay :’)

Great value for money if you have to catch a train early in the morning.the train station is just one street across. Also close to many restaurants and beautiful sea shore.

The hostel is located just infront of railway station. The hotel is very old and badly needed a renovation. But it's worth for what you pay.

Great value accommodation. The staff allowed me to check in before 3pm which is super great! Highly recommended!
