⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆ I stayed two nights at Haka House Wellington. The property is very new, modern, and exceptionally clean. Its location is also excellent, right in the center of Wellington, making it easy to walk everywhere. The staff are very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The main downside was the noise. On my first night, the quiet hours were unfortunately not respected, which made it quite difficult to sleep. Luckily, the second night was much calmer. I also found the kitchen a bit complicated to use, as some utensils, like bowls, were hard to find. Aside from these minor details, it's a very good hostel—modern, clean, well-located, and with a truly pleasant team. I recommend it, just hoping that the quiet rules will be better enforced.

Like I saw in other reviews, having a supermarket right in front of the accommodation is a huge plus! Also, having a toilet and shower in the room was really convenient!

The hotel room was a bit small, and everything was just average. However, I could tell the staff put in a lot of effort to keep it clean. But the shared hairdryer was out of order for two days, even after we reported it, and no one came to fix it...

Had a great stay here! The backpacker hostel was clean, comfortable, and had a really friendly atmosphere. Staff were helpful and the location was convenient for exploring the area. Met lots of awesome travelers during my stay. Would definitely recommend for budget travelers!

Met some nice people also travelling around NZ. Was a good hostel all in all. The ground floor flooded on my last day there.

The hostel is about a 20-minute bus ride from the airport, and the bus stop is just a block away. Right across the street is New World, which is super convenient for buying groceries and daily necessities. However, I felt the cleanliness was just okay; the sheets weren't very clean. In the four-person room, it was a bit difficult to open luggage.

There is a supermarket opposite the hostel. Kitchen is spacious

The location is decent, not far from the bus station. Compared to other hostels, it's quite average.

Better quality and more comfortable than other Haka House locations. They also have 24/7 laundry facilities.

Everything was perfect, except I had some doubts about whether the bed sheets were changed for each new guest or reused.

Great value for money, and it's right across from New World supermarket. However, the wall right by my bunk had a large section missing, so it wasn't completely blackout. Whenever someone turned on the lights, my bed instantly became very bright, which really disturbed my sleep.

Very basic hostel. Dirty and old. Staff is unfriendly and very unwelcoming Recommend to avoid this place, way better options in town for the same price
