St George's Hotel - Wembley

If your minimum expectations are a good sleep and breakfast, forgot about this hotel. Let me start with the good things first, the TV was satisfactory and i was glad to have a small fridge. The shower head was powerful and the aircon was strong. But the shower glass door was not properly installed and water kept spilling out. Also the aircon was like a wild animal that temperature was difficult if not impossible to adjust. And the wind blew on my head! I really hope the hotel would at least change all the pillows. They were old, deformed plastic, not feather filled. The mattress was too soft for my back and not too comfortable. Then the two bedside lamps were broken and the curtain of the window couldn’t be pulled up. The worst was the breakfast. I have noted from previous reviews that one shouldn’t expect a lot, but common, not that poor! No wonder for two days, I was the only customer. On the first day, the server forgot to keep the coffee pot hot and I needed to drink from adding instant coffee powder to mix in hot water. There were neither equipment to keep things hot or cold. Yoghurt in this weather was just kept on the table and eggs were cold. The server volunteered to cook me eggs. When I asked for them to be scrambled, they ended up like some Indian pancake 😢. I chose this hotel mainly due to its availability of aircon and location. But it turned out the location was bad…. Took me 15 min to walk in the hot weather from railway station to hotel. Actually the hotel staff could inform guests well in advance to take buses and the bus numbers. It also required 12 minutes to walk from the hotel to the venue of the Talk Show I attended. All in all, what a disappointing experience and £205 for two nights for a small single room is definitely far from ideal

Nice room. Nice colours. Clean room. Clean bathroom. Very recommended if you get it for a good price (out of event days). Ideal location too...

We were attending an event at Wembley Stadium, and this hotel was perfect as it is a 5 min walk from the stadium and made our evening so much easier. It was very expensive for one night as the prices were put up for the concert, which was a bit disappointing. We were also slightly disappointed with the breakfast as the only options available were continental, which was not what we paid for. However, all in all we were impressed with the fantastic rooms which were lovely and the hotel generally is very clean, well decorated and a great place to sleep, and would definitely consider coming back!

Our original hotel booking was cancelled and we were transferred to this hotel and were told that the room cost was £550 a night, I can only guess it was this price as Oasis playing at Wembley. The location was perfect for Wembley, just about a 5 minute walk away. We were allowed in our room early which was great service. The room was described as 'deluxe' but was standard in my opinion, one of the knobs was missing off the shower and there were a few bits in the room that could have done with a little maintenance but the light controls and air con were very responsive. We had breakfast but when we arrived there were no plates, no cutlery and there was only plastic disposable cups for juice and paper cups for coffee which needed replenishing. The full English breakfast was a good size, the only thing that let it down was a cold uncooked tomato. We had a good stay but if we had have been charged the full price I would have been expecting a lot more. Well done to Trip for transferring us at no extra cost.

Does not deserve the 4 star rating. Room type booked was deluxe queen room. The room i got was a 2nd floor room in the annex building which was situated under the roof. The room had small roof window which were accessible via a just about shoulder wide alcove . Turning was not possible so you had to walk backwards to get out the alcove. Carpets were old, worn, ripped and stained. The tabel lamp was broken. The shower head in the bathroom was loose and leaking. Bar area I was told by reception was not open during my stay. Overall the hotel is at best 3 star. I should have booked the Premier inn overwhelmed road for maybe 10£ more and would have had more quality and a better stay

We were in Wembley for a concert, the hotel was in an ideal location. We found it small, friendly and newly refurbished. The staff were all extremely friendly from the reception staff to housekeeping. We would strongly recommend it .
