I was driving from California to Utah, there was a snow storm after Reno, so after passing the snow area I realized that I would arrive at Wendover after 3am. I checked a hotel at Booking.com and decided to sleep at super 8. on the booking web site there was an option special requests. I requested to do the check in after 3am and I received a message informing that the hotel don’t have check in at this time in the morning but they would do the best to accommodate me as soon as I get there at 3am. when I arrived, after 3am there was a sign at the door saying that the front desk was closed and they would be back at 6am. I tried to call the hotel and after 1 hour I decided to find another place to sleep. I contacted Booking.com to cancel the reservation so I wouldn’t pay for something I didn’t even used and they told me that there was a cancellation fee with the same amount of one night at the hotel. I explained all the situation and they told me that there was nothing they could do, and I should contact the hotel. next morning I went to the hotel and spoke with the manager and he said he couldn’t do anything and I should solve the situation with Booking.com. I contacted Booking.com again and I received an email saying that there was nothing that could be done to refund me. when I went back to the hotel, the lady that was at the front desk told me that the fee that I paid refers to a no show fee. I told her that I did show up, tried to get to the hotel more than one our and the hotel employee was the one that did not show up. SO IF YOU ARE PLANING TO BOOK A HOTEL TROUGH BOOKING.COM BE AWARE OF THE SPECIAL REQUESTS CAUSE YOU WILL BE CHARGED EVEN IF THEY COULD NOT ATTEND YOUR REQUEST. ABOUT THE SUPER 8 HOTEL IN WENDOVER I DO NOT RECOMMEND. I lost $70 and I writing this review so you can be aware.
