Really nice place. Roomy and great overnight place when on a road trip through the northern part of the north island.

Felt like I was in Fiji but colder! Great resort, rooms are spacious and comfortable and the restaurant food is fantastic. We also used a conference room, which was suitable for our purposes and the catering was great.

We stayed here 2 nights, once on our way north and secondly on our return south. On the way north our first room was over looking the Marina fronting the road. A little noisy but okay. Unfortunately, we had to call the management as the entrance was atrocious, leaves etc all over the carpet and stairs, there was a dead tree in a pot at the top and our room had not been cleaned properly. They were very good, Dulcie came immediately and cleaned and made the bed properly. She also called maintenance to tighten the toilet seat. There was nothing she could do about the stain in the bathroom sink though. She explained that they had been short staffed due to Covid and quality inspections had not been done. As we had booked another night for our return trip, Dulcie went to reservations and ordered a newly renovated room in another quieter part of the hotel. This room we stayed in on our return journey was much better and the same price. It was very clean and had much better furniture and overlooked the courtyard. Nice comfortable bed too with new pillows, a very large mirror and tv. They are still renovating that wing but it didn’t disturb us. Very helpful friendly staff. There is a restaurant but we can’t comment as we didn’t dine there. Good amount of parking.

What a lucky find. First time in Whangarei and this place is a home away from home. Great walking location with major supermarket next door. This place is super clean,fabulous kitchen with fabulous gas oven,very comfortable tv lounge.Good comfortable bed and strong hot shower. Nothing to complain about here and most of all the hosts Selina and Jackson are delightful. I will be back.

The hosts Jennie and Peter were very approachable and knowledgeable. They went the extra mile to make me feel welcome and looked after. The motel is close to a New World and a Countdown, the Octagon Theatre which offers excellent theatre and dinner deals, one of Whangarei's favourite restaurants Suk Jai Thai restaurant, bus stops, and many cafes. Great value for money. Highly recommended.

Was an ok stay for one night slightly higher pricing and the mattresses were a bit past so not a good sleep unfortunately then we were rudely awoken by someone bashing on our door and didn't stop til we opened it only to go sorry wrong room this was at 7am unfortunately we left before open hours of the office or we would have asked for a partial refund on our stay
