We were diverted to curaco when not able to land in aruba that night. Fortunate to book this hotel! Close to airport but didn't have trouble with noise. Had airport shuttle for very reasonable. Call hotel to let desk know you've landed and he's there in ＜ 5 min. Rate was also very reasonable we felt. 116. Clean rooms and beds. Good split unit AC. Restaurant on site has been our favorite dinner yet of 4 night of vacationing. Pasta with shrimp was WOW. Very helpful and friendly front desk. If vacationing in curaco, this wouldn't be the spot. No nearby stores or nice beach but 100% perfect for what we needed it for!

Stayed here with family August 2024. Very nice boutique hotel in central Willemstad. The hotel compound is expansive and there are rooms and buildings in various areas near to the reception, some require a slight walk from the front desk. There are two small pools in beautiful courtyards in two different locations on the property. Entry to different areas is secured through coded gates between buildings. Wifi is free and fast. This hotel doesnt have a restaurant but it is basically next to Nieuwestraat which is a nightlife hotspot with restaurants and bar patios. Rooms are very clean and boho style. Hotel staff are friendly and nice. Parking is free if you have a rental car but you will have to park on the public streets in front of the reception or on the street behind reception first come first serve. This hotel is probably about a 10 minute walk to the famous Queen Emma floating bridge. Would definitely come back

We stayed here for 9 days in January. The hotel is in an interesting location. It is not really in a tourist area but kind of halfway between the airport and Willemstad. So while not within close proximity to any of the sights it is kind of smack dab in the middle which makes it a short trip to anywhere on the southeast half of the island. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. They have kitchenettes which make life so easy on a longer trip which allows you to eat some meals and leftovers inside. We did not have a large enough balcony to really use but there were areas near the pool if someone wanted to relax outside. The kitchen had a nice amount of dining supplies. They have an nice small pool. Housekeeping was top notch and they came in every few days. The management was professional and attentive to any needs There is an excellent Gelato shop next to the hotel. If there was one thing I would have suggested as an improvement is that they provide a toaster to the rooms. That would have been very helpful for breakfast and lunches. They offered a breakfast for a charge but we didn't utilize it. We are not big breakfast people. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I met in Curacao while he was on a port call during a military exercise. I booked the Scuba Lodge last minute, and I feel like I discovered a hidden gem. The Scuba lodge is the perfect blend of all things Curacao - historical, colorful, lively, friendly, tropical. We ate at the restaurant several times, spent several hours at the pool, and thoroughly enjoyed the property. The staff was always friendly, accommodating and helpful. The room was updated, comfortable, and very clean. I honestly can't find a negative thing to say about the Scuba Lodge. Don't waste your time at some name brand resort, this has them all beat for much less. money. We will definitely not stay anywhere else in Curacao.

We booked the hotel for 2 main reasons...1. its proximity to the 10/10 celebrations in downtown and the concert of Oscar d'Leon on October 9, 2023 and 2. celebration of my birthday on 10/10/2023. Although not standard practice, the room was decorated for the birthday occasion by the hotel staff. The personnel is very attentive to guests and special requests. Special arrangements were made for the temporary access of friends and family who visited me on both October 9 and 10, 2023. It is a typical small mid-town hotel with the possibility of taking walks and visiting the restaurants in downtown/Punda. there are still signs of Work in Progress. Cascade (rooftop Bar and Pool) is a very unique experience in downtown. Parking arrangements for hotel guests with the adjacent Pietermaai Parking is also a very important amenity for clients with transportation. All by all a very joyfull and interesting experience.........

PPengguna TetamuErstklassiges Hotel. Wir haben in den letzten Jahren mehrere Hotels in Curacao ausprobiert. Das Renaissance Hotel ist unserer Meinung nach das beste von allen. Schon bei der Ankunft wird man sehr freundlich in Empfang genommen. Sofort wird Wasser angeboten. Der Eingang ist freundlich und hübsch gestaltet. In der Lobby wird Freitag und Samstag Musik gespielt. Tanzen erwünscht. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und gepflegt. Man fühlt sich gerne zuhause. Der Meerwasserpool ist mit feinem Sand und man schwimmt wie im Meer. Daneben gibt es einen kleineren Süßwasserpool. Das Essen kann a-la-carte oder als Buffet eingenommen werden. Die Speisekarte ist umfangreich und, ganz wichtig, es schmeckt wirklich sehr gut und lecker. All' dies wird möglich gemacht durch den Leiter Herbert und die sogenannten Navigatoren Martesano und Jureschka, dem Servicepersonal Zayra, Zigraina, Sandra, Francesca, und dem sichtbaren Küchenpersonal Martina, Isabel, Paola, Lenny und natürlich Piet. Geraldine Lai kümmert sich um die Abrechnung.

PPengguna TetamuMy stay at Avila Beach was one of the very best vacations I had in a long time. My first visit to Avila Beach was 42 years ago on my honeymoon, and since my husband's passing 5 years ago I wanted to return. Needless to say, things have changed dramatically, but for the better. The food, the staff, the spa and the accommodations were all top notch. God willing, I'd like to make this a yearly trip. I'd also like to extend a special thank you to Vaynis at Cloud Nine Spa, who had hands that were kissed by the angels; Nathania, who was doing double duty at both The Pen and Blues Restaurants and was very helpful in making sure I had everything I needed, and, lastly the two young ladies at the front desk, and forgive me, but I didn't get the name of one, and the other I wrote down, but can't find the paper, but it started with a ”Jean”. Sorry about that, but they were extremely patient and helpful with me when I checked in. Bottom line, this was money well spent and God bless the staff of Avila Beach Hotel for making my trip memorable.

I'll apologize for taking so long to write this review but I need to do it. We absolutely loved our trip to Curacao and especially our stay at the BijBlauw Hotel. The staff was fantastic and the rooms have so much character. I told Ed that the date of our next trip back to Curacao would depend entirely on the availability of the Seaside Rendezvous room ! The fabulous food and drink always served with a smile while you enjoy the ocean views. The location is great , lots of attractions within walking distance and probably the friendliest island we've ever been to . Thanks to Titia , Ruud , Ed and all the staff for making our stay so memorable , we're coming back either late November or January as soon as we figure out our fall work schedules . Thanks again Randy and Leisa from Canada .

We stayed for 5 nights. Great location! Good bed and pillows. However, the room was very dirty and they didn't clean it carefully - it took them days to replace the shampoos and conditioners, they didn't sweep, there were layers of dust on the telephone and clock radio (I think months without cleaning); They don't remove hair from the drain - we took a cold shower every day - we called for help twice, they said the water was hot but it wasn't - the water was cold, the shower didn't heat the water. I saw a cockroach in the hallway. Very basic breakfast, it takes time to replace products. Friendly attendants but the night lady is new and gave wrong information about laundry. There is no place to dry clothes and as it is a beach location, those clotheslines (cable) that extend in the shower would be useful. Those who get a room on the left side (ciry view) will hear noise from children in the playground in the square in front, which ends up being noisy until around 11:30 pm. In general, everything was fine, but I was impressed by the lack of cleanliness in the room and the lack of help when we complained about a cold shower.

2251lynetterAfter a mix-up with the reservation, the manager resolved our issue. As someone who frequently stays at hotels on other Caribbean islands, I was not impressed with this property. I believe I read somewhere that they were supposed to have a welcome reception, but I could have misinterpreted the information. The staff at a hotel in the Caribbean should be friendlier. I'm unsure if they were unfriendly because of my complaint or if that's their usual demeanor. A welcome drink and assistance with luggage would be a nice touch for a hotel that is categorized as 5-star. On a positive note, the hotel is within walking distance of Jan Thiel Beach, has a restaurant, and offers good music every night.

Nos atendió de manera especial apenas llegamos! Nos aconsejo de visitar varios lugares de la isla y nos ayudo con un inconveniente que tuvimos con el transfer. El hotel ofrece un desayuno muy rico de 7 a 10 am. Habitación grande! Con kichenete completa, aire acondicionado grande, cama muy cómoda y baño amplio!. Tiene una terraza que por las noches se pone muy lindo para tomar algo luego de hacer un día de playa. El hotel queda del lado de otro Banda, si bien por las noches parece algo inseguro ya qué hay bastantes lugareños, no pasó nada, siempre caminamos tranquilos, pero da un poco de miedo por las noches. El hotel está ah 200 metros del puente de la reina emma. Saludo grande y espero volver

Ristorante Siciliano (rate: 4/5): We’ve ordered: * SOUP - minestrone soup: it was just ok. * STARTER - bruschette al pomodoro: made with fresh tomato, tasty - insalata caprese: with virgin olive oil, Caribbean sea salt and fresh basil: tasty, soft taste. - carpaccio di manzo: drizzled with virgin olive oil, fresh parmesan cheese and garnished with herb: very tasty, I would recommend this dish!🥇 * PASTA: - penne arrabbiata🌶️: with vegan red chilli hot and spicy tomato sauce: this dish was too spicy.
