Countrywide Cottages

We were all very happy to spend a very comfortable holiday there. The villa is very well maintained with heating in every bed. Our son was very impressed with the various birds that kept arriving right on the balcony and backyard. We were very happy with 11 fresh chicken eggs and managed to catch 9 yabbies in the pond. Amazing experience!

We loved our stay at Countrywide cottages. The well appointed cabin is clean, comfortable and private. Surrounded by bush and with beautiful king parrots making regular visits to the verandah, it is a peaceful retreat from the craziness of the coastal towns. Di and Stuart are welcoming hosts and home made biscuits and birdseed provided by them is an added bonus. If our dog had come along he would have loved it too and being dog friendly makes this place a perfect place for a quiet getaway. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

Me and family stayed in Ferny and we absolutely love it... it was a home away from home for us. It has a fully equipped kitchen, dish washer, washing machine (just what we needed) and a fire place that warm us up! Coming from a city, we truly enjoyed the nature, the farm animals and the birds coming to the cottage. My girl couldn't stop stop talking about it even after we came home ;-)

We stayed in Ferny Reach Cottage which was excellent very comfortable accommodation. A home away from home. The property is very beautiful and quiet, only noise the beautiful birds. We were welcomed at the cottage by beautiful very friendly king parrots and our hosts Di and Stuart had supplied us with seed to feed them. We enjoyed “Ned’s Retreat” where we played table tennis and 8 ball! Lots of fun, also at Ned’s if you have a dog there is off lead area when they can run and play. It is a very dog friendly and each cottage has a fenced yard for your dog. Unfortunately our lovely dog was no longer with us. Would thoroughly recommend this accommodation. Di and Stuart are lovely, friendly people.

We love coming back to Countrywide Cottages and have never been disappointed. Our dogs had a wonderful first experience with the countryside and were happy to wander for hours...well, until their humans got tired. The accommodation is first rate and has plenty of everything...toilet rolls, soap,kitchen necessities, etc. Cant wait to return in 2024.

Privacy, comfort and serenity are words to describe my stay at Countrywide Cottages. The entire property is beautifully maintained including the fully fenced yard, making the stay with my dear old pooch so relaxing. Only a short drive to Lorne, it was a perfect location to explore the area. I would not hesitate in recommending a stay here and I will definitely be back.

Lovely country cottage with all you could want for your dogs and yourself to have a stress free stay. My dogs are not stranger friendly but I didn't have to worry about that at all. Lots of space for them to run and enjoy off lead and the entire place was so relaxing. It was my first road trip for my 2 yo border collies and they had a ball. We loved the serenity, the close proximity of bush tracks for walks and of course the beautiful parrots to greet us every morning. I will definitely book in again for another relaxing holiday soon. Well done to the owners who have thought of everything!

We loved our stay at Countrywide Cottages. The self contained cottages have everything you and your dog needs. They provided water and food bowls, dog bed and blanket for them. The beds and pillows were great we slept well each night. The bushland that surrounded us was beautiful and we had the parrots and visiting us each day. We loved exploring the property with our 2 dogs, they enjoyed the bush walk trail and the leash free area, taking a swim in the dam. We also fished for yabbies and just soaked up the views and peace and quite. Di is a fantastic host and we will be back.

We cannot recommend Countrywide Cottages enough. It is by far the best dog friendly accomodation we have found. Our cottage was spotlessly clean and fresh and it is set in the most beautiful peaceful forest. The fenced area was huge and fully fenced. There was a clean dog bed, bowls and homemade treats provided for our dog. We loved the large shower, heated towel rail and fan heater in the bathroom. The bed very comfortable made up with nice linen and electric blankets. There was a wood heater with plenty of dry wood along with a split system to keep everything cosy. The kitchen was well equipped with good quality utensils. Di and Stuart were a pleasure to deal with and checkin and checkout were seamless.
