The room was lovely, the right size for a couple, generally well thought out & very clean. My only challenge was not being able to sit at the desk/dressing table & see in the mirror. Due to the sloped ceiling the mirror was too low / the stool was too high. A minor inconvenience really. The shower pressure was good though which we enjoyed. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked. Staff were friendly & helpful - even recommending walks & restaurants etc. Would go back.

A lovely stay at Woodlands – Windermere! It’s conveniently located just a 15-minute walk from the train station and another 15 minutes to Windermere Lake. The room was warm, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked with a great selection of teas and cookies. Breakfast was delicious and well-prepared each morning, setting us up nicely for the day. A charming place with a welcoming atmosphere

Very impression experience. Everything was good. Room, staff, breakfast. We stayed 2 nights there. One little thing was the water didn't filled up for the second night but room service provided it after we inquired.

Friendly staff with good support for requests. It can walk around 13 minutes from Windermere railway station.

I recently stayed at the Woodlands Hotel in the Lake District, and I was very pleased with the experience. First of all, the breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options including fresh salmon, which was a nice touch. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, giving it a homely feel. The hotel is also in a convenient location, with a nearby bus stop that makes it easy to reach the main attractions in the Lake District. Overall, it’s a great value hotel with attentive service. Highly recommended!

We absolutely loved Woodlands. The location in Windermere walk to village. 15 minute walk to Bowness. Easy driving distance of the national parks. Comfortable rooms. Enough rooms for bags. The full English breakfast is to die for. The staff are all friendly and professional. Would highly recommend staying at Woodlands.

The best hotel in this lake district!!! You can enjoy the scenery of lake, relaxed room, some patterns of breakfast, and amazimg services!

Woodlands is a very nice place to stay and would definitely recommend it to any of my friends. The location is excellent for walking into Windermere

Breakfast is really a highlight. The room is not big, but the service staff are friendly. They gave us small cookies and chocolates when we checked in. We stayed in room 14 and room 9. The Wi-Fi in room 14 had almost no signal, but the signal in room 9 was OK. Good value for money

The hotel is not too far from other towns and the environment is also very good. The hotel provides free parking spaces, which is ideal for self-driving tourists and can save expensive parking fees.

The room we changed to was much better, but it was a pity that we didn't book it longer. We also folded the bath towel into a swan shape, which was pretty. But this room type is on the first floor, and there is a courtyard directly outside. It feels like there are a lot of bugs when the weather is hot, so we still need to think about it more.

As soon as I entered the room, I found two big mosquitoes on the curtains. When I went to bed at night, I found a spider web on the head of the bed. It was scary. The drainage system in the bathroom is not good, and the sound insulation is not good. There was a bang bang bang sound around 8 o'clock in the morning. At 10:30, the cleaner didn't even knock on the door and just pushed the door open. The reason given by the front desk was: the guests checked out at 10:30. But the time written on the note is 10:30-11:00, and shouldn't they come to clean up after we check out? They didn't even knock on the door. I don't recommend this hotel. It looks like a homestay. Don't stay here
