Hilton Garden Inn Wooster

We love this hotel the staff is really friendly and cat friendly but they do require a deposit we ended up having a friend pet sit for us for the night and we booked our stay the room was clean and crisp feeling the bathroom was a little run down with rust stains and chipped paint but it wasn’t terrible the beds in the room we had 212 were very firm but comfortable and at the check in desk they had fresh cookies the pool and hot tub were definitely a great way to relax after a long day of travel and we were the only ones in there when we got up we packed our bags and loaded up the car and check out was a breeze we decided to stay a little longer and had breakfast which was inexpensive and delicious I highly recommend the breakfast sandwich! All and all a great stay and we will be back in the future.

The girl on check in couldn’t get the price to match our reservation it was more. Also in the room we had no hot water and the sink faucet just dribbled water. Didn’t change our room. We were told someone would be in at 8 the next morning to fix it. No won came. Then the gentleman at the front desk was unaware of this. Didn’t do anything to rectify. Will not stay at this hotel again

The staff was wonderful and helpful. The bed was comfortable. I actually appreciate that breakfast is purchased separately since I never take advantage of the breakfasts. The pool was comfortably warm and just large enough to actually swim short laps. The hot tub was wonderful! :)

Our “go-to” hotel officially became last on our list! We visit Wooster several times a year and for the past handful of years have always chose Hilton Garden Inn. Unfortunately though, that quickly changed on our March visit. The hotel is undergoing construction and has been for quite some time now. This has resulted in nearly half of the right side of the parking lot being blocked. We visited pulling a trailer and had no way of getting turned around when in the back parking lot.. and no parking without blocking other guests in. When we noticed this, we visited the front desk to only be greeted by a super rude employee who acted like she had no time to deal with us.. We asked if we could park beside of the dumpster and she quickly told us that we could leave our trailer unattended on the “ramp” which was the main road coming in from the nearby gas station. Upon this statement, the General Manager stepped in and was worse than the first employee. She offered no apology, no solution and no response other than to tell us to cancel our reservation, wait 72 hours for a refund and to find a different hotel. Fortunately, the Comfort Inn next door was more than gracious. After hearing about our incident, they treated us so kindly and were so caring. They made an effort to walk out and help us park somewhere safe.. even to the point of making sure we were in surveillance camera view. They gave us a room that was easily accessible from our parking and that had a window view of our truck/trailer. They gave us a discount, offered free breakfast (which you must pay for at Garden Inn), had free cookies/drinks/coffee and it was clean, quiet and the best stay that we have had while visiting Wooster. We felt unwelcomed, not valued and basically talked down to by the Garden Inn staff and don’t plan to ever return. If visiting, do yourself a favor and go with Comfort Inn next door. Not only will you save money, but you will leave feeling like your business was appreciated.

Everything here was literally perfect. Easy check in, pool was clean, hot tub was hot, lobby was nice to play card games with kids. They have table and chairs and extra cozy chairs in the lobby. Our room was on the first floor with 2 queen beds, a comfy chair, tv, fridge and well supplied bathroom. There is a sign at the front lobby stating there is construction in some rooms from 8am to 8pm. We heard nothing on the first floor. The whole hotel is very clean including bathrooms off of the lobby and in the pool area. Also, There is plenty of parking and it’s in a nice area for those coming to/near Wooster or Amish country.

Room was spacious. Temperature control was perfect (room cold all night without fan on and off). Comfortable beds. Great place to stay. Would definitely stay again on future visits to Wooster. Breakfast was good as well.

The staff went above and beyond to make our stay excellent. They were very accommodating and so nice. The rooms were very clean. The food we ordered at breakfast was delicious. The hot tub and pool area was very clean. Will definitely be back again!

I don't know about other rooms but our room was listed as accessible but the shower was in a standard tub with only one grab bar at one end and the toilet was standard, not high rise and there were no grab bars nearby. We were fine without but if you need them, be sure to ask before you book a room. There was some room and facilities updating underway but it was quiet throughout our stay.

We have family in the Wooster Ohio area. Booked Hilton garden so grandchild could swim. Pool was freezing and could use some updating in the pool area hot tub was nice. Our room clean except for the heating/air unit. Disgusting Under it. No cover and it was gross. It could use some cosmetic touch ups. Overall May stay again. No free breakfast. But did have free cookies!
