Ulasan Ling Ling Hotel

The parking lot is large, and the environment is quite nice. There's a guest entrance to the zoo. Check-in was handled by a hotel intern who, like the park ticket checkers, maintained a cold demeanor as if I owed them money. There's a small amusement park within the grounds with a limited number of rides, and they all cost extra. The zoo itself isn't very big; an hour is enough to walk through it. It's a good option for small children as it saves adults from having to travel far, but older kids probably don't need to stay overnight just to see the animals. It was often hard to find someone at the concierge desk to help with luggage. The park restaurants offer a limited variety of fast food. The self-serve ice cream machine costs 15 per serving and was full of ice crystals. Breakfast options were decent, with both Chinese and Western dishes. The only downside was the lack of table markers, which made dining alone a bit awkward as I had to ask the staff not to clear my table every time I went to get more food. The in-room Wi-Fi didn't work until I called the front desk, who then provided the correct way to connect; they don't tell you upfront. If you need toiletries, don't go to the front desk; it's useless. You have to call housekeeping at 6000 from your room phone. Be prepared to call multiple times; it took me six tries to get through. Overall, despite being a five-star hotel, it feels like the management has given up and isn't trying anymore. I'm not sure if the hotel is cutting labor costs, but apart from the cleaning staff, everyone seemed to be young interns. The animal park is small, and there aren't many hotel staff, leading to a poor experience. Only the cleanliness was good, and the international performers at the circus show were making an effort. For families with specific expectations for their stay, I'd recommend avoiding this place and just experiencing the circus performance. P.S.: This is the only five-star hotel in Xiamen I've encountered with such poor service.

Although it opened in 2017 and the entrance isn't grand or luxurious, the overall facilities are well-maintained. There were no stains on the carpets, sofas, or walls, and the bathroom details were quite clean. It was my friend's and my birthday on the day we checked in, and the hotel even specially decorated the room for us, which was incredibly thoughtful. The overall stay experience was excellent, and I'll definitely choose Zhulingling Hotel again next time I'm in Xiamen!

I chose Lingling for my Xiamen trip mainly because of its location, and I definitely made the right choice. It's super close to the train station. Although taking a taxi to Gulangyu ferry terminal and Zhongshan Road is a bit of a distance, the island itself gets really congested, so Jimei District is relatively better. The hotel itself has a great design; both the lobby and the rooms are impressive. The staff are friendly, and check-in and check-out were quick. It was a very satisfying experience.

The service was excellent; all my requests were met, making me feel right at home. The room was clean, the mattress soft, and the comforter comfortable. The facilities were also top-notch, and I particularly loved the delivery robot that brought takeout directly to my room—that was a fantastic touch. Breakfast was delicious and diverse, with a wide variety of Chinese and Western options, including freshly prepared satay noodles.

Our stay at Lingling Grand Hotel with the family this time truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were captivated by the animal-themed decor. The front desk staff proactively informed us about breakfast times and park show schedules, and even helped us plan our itinerary. Their service was both professional and enthusiastic. Our room was spotlessly clean, the bedding soft and fresh, with not a speck of dust even in the corners.

This stay truly exceeded my expectations! During check-in, the front desk staff were incredibly efficient and exceptionally thoughtful. They provided detailed recommendations for local eateries and attractions, and even helped me plan my travel routes, which completely put me at ease as a first-time visitor. During my stay, I accidentally stained some clothes one day. I initially thought I'd have to hand wash them myself, but after calling room service, I learned the hotel offered laundry service at a reasonable price. Staff promptly came to collect them and even carefully inquired about the nature of the stains. When they were returned the next day, not only were the clothes spotlessly clean and perfectly ironed, but they were also neatly packaged. This level of service was absolutely outstanding!

The carpets were dirty and the toilet had urine stains; overall, the cleanliness was very poor. The shower head was loose and couldn't be fixed, and no children's toiletries were provided. The facilities felt dated and rudimentary. Service was almost non-existent; guests had to go downstairs themselves to fetch takeout, and you shouldn't expect any help with luggage. On the positive side, the zoo offered close-up animal encounters and feeding opportunities. The dining options offered decent value for money, and the family activity package was also quite good.

We had a great stay at this themed hotel. Friendly, helpful staff at the front desk.

The Ling Ling Hotel was an excellent stay, with amenities to make both child and parent happy! I was particularly impressed with the option to take our toddler to the circus or zoo. We opted for the zoo since the circus conflicted with nap time. It was amazing to have the zoo within the hotel ground - just went to the 1st floor, walked to the entrance, and there it was! The bathrooms in our hotel room were perfect for a family, with a shower and bathtub. We didn’t stay in a designated children-friendly room, and our room was excellent for us, so I can only imagine if we did! Next time we’ll come when my toddler is a bit older and book one for sure. Buffet made it easy for my toddler to have a variety of options, and she was so happy to see all of the animal decoration around the area and entire hotel. Beautiful African themed hotel. However, the elevators take forever to get from one floor to the next, as this hotel is EXTREMELY BUSY. The breakfast available at the buffet isn’t the greatest. All staff were friendly and tried their best to communicate with us. Rooms smell of smoke. Easy access to the Zoo and the Circus. Average hotel.

It was ‘okay’. Nice themed rooms, big and spacious. Pretty clean and nice touches. Breakfast was stressful, loud and basic.

Good for family with kids.

In this hotel, the rooms are worth it, but the breakfast is so clouded, and it is the Chinese style.
