11360195****The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Gulangyu Island. It's tucked away in a quiet spot but still close to Longtou Road, where all the restaurants are, and attractions like Sunlight Rock and Shuzhuang Garden. We stayed in Building 9, which was very peaceful. It hardly felt like the bustling National Day holiday, but as soon as we stepped out of the hotel, we were met with throngs of people – truly two different worlds! The hotel has a private back exit for guests that leads to a quiet beach with very few people. The kids absolutely loved it, braving the heat and strong sun for over two hours, catching several small crabs. The hotel used to be a government retreat and is now open to the public. While the facilities and decor are a bit dated, you can tell the original fixtures are still of good quality. The room even came with tea ceremony tools, and the kids had a blast playing tea master – the Dahongpao tea was delicious. The hotel service is outstanding. They offer exclusive shuttle transfers from the ferry terminal to the hotel when you arrive and depart. If you're heading straight to the ferry after sightseeing, you can arrange a time with the hotel, and they'll deliver your luggage to the terminal, allowing you to enjoy your day worry-free. The staff are also incredibly helpful; knowing the kids wanted to play on the beach, they even brought sand-digging tools. When we encountered a staff member on the road and asked for directions to the beach, he simply walked us all the way there. We genuinely loved this hotel and highly recommend it.

The room was spacious, clean, and felt more like a serviced apartment—with a huge sofa that could easily seat 6–8 people, a proper living area, and a comfy king bed that made it easy to get good rest. The hotel has its own dedicated lobby for drop-off and pick-up, which made arrivals smooth and hassle-free. Staff were friendly and attentive. I was offered free breakfast, and they even helped with laundry by moving my clothes from the washer to the dryer and placing them at the counter for pickup—just let them know in advance. The food was great, with a mix of Western and Chinese options that were both delicious and satisfying. The location is convenient, especially if you're attending events at the Xiamen International Conference and Exhibition Center, and getting around the area is easy. Overall, a smooth and enjoyable stay. Everything was handled with care. GGuest UserLocated inside Zengcuo'an, the restaurant is right downstairs with plenty of food options, making it a great location for those who enjoy shopping and dining. I recommend Mr. Zheng's Restaurant, which also has a branch in Zengcuo'an; their seafood hot pot is delicious, and the service is excellent. The mango sticky rice and sliced ​​meat downstairs are also very tasty. Just outside, there's Zengji Seafood Congee Breakfast Shop, whose congee and oyster omelet are quite good and suitable for breakfast. The beach is about a 10-minute walk away, and you can walk to the music square where there's live music in the evening. The sand is fine, with pebbles and small crabs, which kids enjoy. For the ferry to Gulangyu Island, we booked the 9:10 am ferry, so we had to leave early as the roads are very congested. It took about 50 minutes to reach the pier. We booked a family room, which had two rooms available. It was fine for a family of three with my mother. Everything was disposable and very clean, although the bathroom had a slight odor.

In the mornings, the cleaning staff always greets me warmly, and in the evenings, the front desk even offers a warm drink upon my return. The soundproofing in the room is fantastic; I wasn't disturbed by any outside noise at all. The bedding is soft and comfortable against the skin – getting a good night's sleep after a tiring day of business travel is so crucial. The environment is simple yet elegant, and the public areas are neat and well-maintained. Most importantly, the price is really budget-friendly, making it incredible value for money. I've already recommended it to my colleagues!

GGuest UserChoosing the Xiamen Lujiang Hotel for my stay was the best decision ever! Its location is fantastic, directly facing Gulangyu Island. It's within walking distance to the ferry terminal, Zhongshan Road, and the lively Eight Markets, and close to Zhenhai Road Metro Station, making getting around incredibly convenient. The sea view room offered stunning sunset views over Gulangyu, an absolutely amazing experience! The facilities are comprehensive, including a heated swimming pool and a gym. Dining is easy, and the breakfast spread is extensive, with child-friendly amenities and services. The service was professional. Check-in at the front desk was smooth, and housekeeping was prompt and thorough. They were especially accommodating to families, providing children's amenities. We also received a fruit platter and extra bottled water upon request. The room supervisor, Geng Hongyan, even folded a cute little dolphin out of a towel for my child, who was absolutely thrilled to find it in the room! These thoughtful touches added so much joy to our trip!

DDangdaiaganThe Grand Millennium Oceanfront Hotel has been on my radar for a while; it's definitely one of the older, more established hotels. Even though it's been around for some years, my stay was excellent. The staff were all incredibly warm and professional, and the room was very comfortable – I actually got a great night's sleep, which is rare for me. The hotel's location is fantastic, right outside Exit A of Metro Line 1, and next to a bustling shopping street. I'll definitely be recommending it to my friends.

MMilaChinaEverything was great, friendly staff, added amenities, extra water and suuuper friendly, chatty, helpful. Breakfast until 10, amazing variety of food, was different two days in a row, not the same selection of food, so great. Room superior queen that I stayed at, very clean, big mirror outside the bathroom, really rested properly. Location 15min from the ferry to the island, all brand chains nearby, very convenient for walking around. And the city is lovely, want to come back soon

GGuest UserMy favorite hotel on this trip is this one. The price is super! The hotel staff can also upgrade the sea view room. The sea view is very good. From check-in to check-out, every staff member makes me feel at home. The facilities in the room are also very comfortable, the mattress is soft and the shower water is strong. Moreover, the location of the hotel is also very convenient, there are many delicious restaurants and attractions nearby. I will stay here next time I come to Xiamen and recommend it to my friends.

Aanan7788The room was great and spotlessly clean. It's about 200 meters from Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street, with plenty of dining options nearby, and directly opposite the ferry terminal for Gulangyu Island. Getting around is super convenient. I highly recommend the pork rib rice set next to the hotel; for 27 yuan, it's a balanced meal with free rice refills. It tastes delicious too. Although the room was small, it was a huge plus that the bathroom had a wet and dry separation, and the shower stall was spacious enough for an adult and a child to bathe comfortably.
