Ulasan Hotel New Marble

The hotel is very conveniently located a short distance from the main train station. However, staff will not be available should one wish to deposit bags or the like prior to the three p.m. check-in so it is best to utilise the lockers at the station if coming by train or bus. Staff are friendly but often absent from the main desk, which was not a problem for myself as I was mainly away on business but may be an issue for families or elderly travellers requiring out of hours assistance. As an older hotel, as well as a budget option, some maintenance issues are to be expected and did not prove too insurmountable for myself-the only issue being that the provided tea kettle was unusable due to murky water. As far as I am aware, there are no onsite vending machines though there are abundant shops and restaurants nearby and within a few short steps. For those travelling lightly and requiring laundry there are alas no washing machines or dryers and the nearest coin laundry is one by name of the laundry lab about fourteen minutes walk away. For a short term stay it is perfectly acceptable, though some more attention to cleaning would be a plus. The attached photos show some of the free activities available nearby, which may be attractive especially to those who enjoy culture and history-the Yamagata Prefectural Musuem and Kajo Park.

Poor management and dusty old property ..bad experience..

Just a standard business hotel. Its main advantage is its close proximity to where we needed to catch our overnight bus, and it's also near the train station. There's a convenient store right across the street and a bit down from the hotel.

The room I stayed in was quite dark, perhaps due to insufficient lighting.

This hotel is old , but conveniently located near the JR Yamagata Station. Overall, we were satisfied with the hotel's facilities and service. The Japanese twin room we stayed in was clean.

2 min walk to Yamagata Station for trains and buses. Another bus station is 2 min walk away. Main tourist sites are easily to get to via trains and buses. Family Mart and 7 Eleven is a min walk. Room is clean and spacious. Fridge in room. There is also a fridge and microwave in lobby. Front desk hours are from 3pm to 11pm. I came early. I left my luggage to the side and went site seeing. I came back later to checkin.

Great place, outstanding price for value, big room for us two, very central location with parking lots only meters away. Lady at the desk was very friendly. We only couldn‘t figure out how to turn of the dimmed light, so we slept through it.

The location was great, but the room was consistently a bit cold, and we couldn't use the hairdryer and air conditioning at the same time.

Conveniently located near the station, and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and it offered good value for money. However, I was surprised that the hallway lights were off at night.

Near the JR station, my smells like a smoking room. In general I can recomend
