Hotel berhampiran Gongnong Bridge, Yangshuo

A family-run newly-opened gem with many amenities. Very clean and located among natural beauty, away from the tourist trap areas but still near enough for a quick ride on the electric scooters rented on the property. I was here in late April so it was quite hot already, and in hindsight I should have rented a room with a massage chair instead of a hot tub 😋 . A room on the higher floors would also have been more practical for the view but the first floor was fine. Outfitted with a western smart toilet, electric curtains, mood lighting, a projector and comfortable beds it was a very comfortable stay. The room was also very spacious. The hosts are very friendly and accommodating and I thank them for their hospitality. 👌 Tips 1. There is an on-site restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Indoor and outdoor seating. Very tasty local cuisine. 2. The top floor hosts the clothes washers and gym but also has the best views. My pics are taken early morning 3. There is a small road in front of the property but it's quiet enough that it didn't bother me. Even with the floor to ceiling windows, the sound-proofing dampens the outside sound. 4. I didn't encounter any mosquitos during my stay in April 5. There is an elevator. 6. Remember to bring your action camera and attachments to record your scooter rides and other rides such as the bamboo rafts. The phone-mounts on the scooters are suitable only for navigating and not for recording videos on your phone. 7. If you'll be using the scooters, budget a morning or afternoon for one destination within a 10km radius. This will keep your trip relaxed. If you're comfortable riding in the evening, then you'll have more time. 8. At least a 3 day stay is recommended for a relaxed experience. I saw many tired tourists, so remember to keep water with you. Also toilet paper for your excursions since the public toilets in the tourist areas aren't likely to have and even have vending machines selling it, but were out of stock when I needed it. 9. The weather was fine and only a light drizzle on the morning of my arrival for my 3 day stay in late April. Remember your hat or umbrella for the sun. 10. Xingping ancient city is a crowded tourist trap but ok for a few photo opportunities or curio purchases. There is an area across the river with better photo opportunities. 11. Hang your washing outside to dry but not overnight because it might not be dry. Not sure if it was due to the humidity or dew.

Outstanding boutique hotel situated in the most beautiful spot by the Yulong River with breathtaking views in all four directions! We like how the style of the hotel reflects and complements the natural beauty of the area. There are abundant amenities and plenty of activities to pursue just around the property. It’s perfect for people who want to enjoy the beautiful pristine Shanshui of Guilin uninterrupted. We travelled with our extended family of 7 and everybody had a great time (especially our 2yo). The hotel is very kids friendly and the staff are wonderful. The swimming pool is immaculate and well equipped. We were also happily surprised by the quality of the food provided at the hotel. The ingredients were local and super fresh and the beer fish was very tasty. We ended up eating most of our lunches and dinners at the hotel. The room itself is gorgeous. We woke up everyday bathing in the morning sun with unobstructed views of the breathtaking Shanshui along the Yulong river! If you wake up early and go to the top floor, you will be rewarded with a special bonus! We are already looking forward to our next trip to Yangshuo and Xishi Jinshe!

This resort was a pleasant discovery. It is located in a very peaceful area, it has a large beautiful garden, and from the rooms it offers a stunning view of the beautiful landscape around. Our room was provided with all amenities, a terrace to sit peacefully and watch the mountains, and even a bathtub with an incredible view from the large windows. The breakfast was offered with local authentic food, which we found amazing.The resort also has a nice bar, where you can chill in the evening listening to vinyls and having well prepared cocktails. The staff and the property were friendly and helpful all the time, and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and help us in our exploration of the area. Highly recommended, this is one you simply should not miss.

A fantastic find in Guilin! This hotel is a stunning historical house transformed into a stylish, modern retreat. The staff were exceptionally friendly, offering helpful perks like a free photo shoot and transportation. A unique and highly recommended experience!

Room was well appointed and spacious. Kept rather clean too, but the air conditioning took extremely long to cool the room down, almost 7 hours to cool from 30 degrees to 26 degrees at full fan speed. Our room was facing the back street, it was very very noisy at night and noise from the street can be heard clearly. Hotel does provide earplugs. Free laundry and dryer available.

The hotel advertises as having an all-year-round open pool and it's not true. During our stay at the end of April with maximum temperatures above 30°C there was no pool to cool off, and the staff told us it was because it was still too early in the year. This was very disappointing as having a pool was the main reason for our choice of hotel, so I'd say this hotel didn't meet our expectations and they should state this clearly on Trip to avoid future confusion of guests. Other things to improve are the storage space in the rooms (there's barely any room to place suitcases etc) and the soundproofing (we were woken up several days by loud guests at 7am or earlier). On the positive side, the beds were comfortable (average hardness of mattress for westerners standards) and the shower was the best we've had in our whole trip through China: very modern, with good water pressure and no fluctuating temperature. The room thermostat worked really well and the hotel has some nice amenities for guests to use such as tea, massage chairs (a bit worn out but still working) and a vintage game console. The staff helped us with luggage, gave us information and even a small present at the end of our stay, which was a nice touch. The location of the hotel is in a quieter part of town, ideal for sleeping but still close enough to streets with lots of restaurants, cafes etc (try Heytea in west street if you can!). Overall it's been good value for money, although the hotel could do some clean up/refurbishment work and the pool availability should be advertised accurately.

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO THE HOTEL STAFF, JACK!!! He should be the hotel manager!!! He is so sociable and always helped me and told me everything. Thanks to him, I have the best vacation and very delicious pasta!!) Wonderful hotel employee LUCY is simply charming, she immediately signed me up for a ride on bamboo rafts and did a fireworks display 🎆!!!! She told me everything about the history of the hotel and I bought the book!!!! I dream of building a hotel in Russia!!! And this trip was a great inspiration for me!!!!! Excellent room with a very nice bathtub and a big balcony. Good location if you want to be a bit away from the most busy areas of Yangshou Town, but still close enough to walk there.

We were 3 families visited Yangshuo, and stayed in this hotel. Location - Best, hotel offers the shuttle services to go to West market. It’s near by to almost all the attractions in Yangshuo area.

I stayed for 2 nights and felt comfortable n relaxing. The room n bathroom were spotless clean. The balcony is a good place to have coffee early in the morning with the view of mountains n the river just in front. A stone throw is the busy west road where it is very convenient to find foods or do shopping. It is affordable for long stay as the cost is reasonable. Have a nice stay.
