Like the location as it is smacked in West street. Views are awesome. Down side is that West Street is crowded and could be a little noisy as you can hear the music from the bars in the area but if you close the door and windows it can block out most of the noise. Also, a little difficult to walk on the cobbled street with luggages as car cannot enter West street so you will have to walk for a bit. Hotel provide free drinks/coffee/tea at the lobby. Plus point: my room have a bird view of the entire West street with the mountains as a back drop. They also have a nice rooftop for photography with pool.

Stayed in Zen VIP room on the 6th floor. It was exactly how it was described and we loved it!
None of the receptionists speaks English but one of them in particular is extremely kind and helpful. Use your translation app to converse and communicate unless one of your people speaks Chinese. We are American/Japanese mixed family and our daughter assisted us as a translator (she takes Chinese at school). For Guilin and Yangshuo, it’s not easy without Chinese. I highly recommend staying at a hotel with English speaking receptionists unless you or someone in your group speaks Chinese to maximize the stay (or hire a guide).
The breakfast is only 15 RMB and it’s super simple Chinese food. If you want western style, you must stay at a different hotel.
They have rental bikes but they run out fast
Overall, this hotel was amazing for us. The room, location, kind receptionist and room cleaning lady. The pictures are taken from our room. Highly recommend this for the right people. .

Lake view, almost fully blocked by the roof of the restaurant below, which is a total disappointment !
Neverthe less, stunning mountain view.
Room tips : Go for a higher floor, the lake view might be slightly better.
Do add some fake grass carpet over the roof for a more pleasant sight.

The room was upgraded for free, and the price/performance ratio was very good. It may be because I traveled in the off-season, so everything was OK, but the hygiene needed to be improved a little bit. Other aspects were good. It was very close to West Street. This breakfast shop was also good and clean near the hotel.

This hotel in Yangshuo is so beautiful🥺, and the photos are so good
The first day I arrived at the hotel, I was fascinated by the scenery here, as if I lived in a painting. The environment of the hotel is so beautiful that I don't want to check out.
The weather in Yangshuo now is just right, not too cold or too hot. The hotel is located near Yitian West Street, with convenient transportation, and you can enjoy the fun of food and shopping when you go out.
As soon as I entered the hotel gate, I was attracted by the water curtain swimming pool in front of me. The room is spacious and comfortable, equipped with a swimming pool, balcony and rocking chair, and complete facilities.
Standing on the observation deck, you can take pictures of the beautiful mountain scenery, and every shot is a blockbuster.
This trip to Yangshuo, staying here is really comfortable!

In fact, it was a hotel booked temporarily. I decided to book this hotel after seeing the good reviews, but the check-in experience was excellent!
First of all, the location is very good. It is very convenient to walk to West Street when you go out. It is completely acceptable to walk within one kilometer after getting off the boat at the pier.
Secondly, the hotel environment is also good, very clean and the space is sufficient.
Secondly, I want to praise the service. After checking in, I added the hotel WeChat and provided various useful suggestions. I had to go back to Guilin Airport the next afternoon, but the road was very congested during the holiday, and I couldn’t get a taxi at all. It was a bit far to walk to the station, so the two front desk ladies took us to the station on an electric car. I really thank them.
In short, it is a very cost-effective hotel, very good in all aspects, and highly recommended!

The room was clean and spacious, the buffet breakfast was delicious, and the location was great. The free afternoon tea provided on the rooftop was also a nice touch and the views were great from there. There is also a laundry area that is free to use. An interesting note is that there are some rooms facing the pool and elevator, and you can see into them as you ride the elevator. It was very kind of them to give us a little gift as we left and we would definitely come back and stay again.

The best hotel out of the 10 we stayed in Guangxi. The room is really nice, with great design and spacious. Breakfast has good variety and the staff at the reception are so friendly and helpful. They are patient with our queries, and even helped us switched rooms fuss free, not one but twice cos cigarette smoke somehow get into our rooms. We stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed the stay. It is located between Liu Sanjie and West street, and you can either walk or cab to these 2 venues. Good amenities for kids too.

Even before I arrived, the staff went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. I received a message the day before my reservation to call the hotel. When I called, they asked if they could send me a message on Wechat as they didn’t speak English. The staff simply wanted to know my eta so that they could turn the a/c on in the room to cool it down before I arrived.
The hotel is more of a BnB set up than a hotel - similar to a house design. The building is 5 stories high with I guess around 4 rooms on each floor. This makes it perfect to escape the large tourist groups which frequent bigger hotels.
When the taxi pulled up outside on the day of my arrival, 2 staff members rushed out to welcome me. Check-in was quick and they told me that they had upgraded me to a bigger room. They also asked me what I wanted for breakfast the next day as they had some different ‘Western’ options (think Chinese idea of Western but still okay). I was able to have toast and fried eggs every day.
The room is really exquisite - I came alone but would definitely recommend for couples as the bathtub is heavenly.
The two balconies offer beautiful views of the karst mountains. The room is also tastefully done up in wicker and white. And the bedding is luxurious. My only recommendation for the room is to add some sachets of instant coffee.
The pool is perfect for a cool down and what a spectacular view from the loungers!
I swam every day and every day while sitting by the pool, the staff brought me some refreshing lemon water to drink. In addition, every day of my stay they brought me something: day 1 - fresh watermelon and some blueberry thing (candy?), day 2 - baby tomatoes and more blueberry things day 3 - apples and peanuts. On checkout, they prepared a local snack and water bottle for the trip home.
The staff at this hotel really go the extra mile and just about bend over backwards to serve you. It’s been a long time since I have seen such eager staff and it makes for a very pleasant change from bored receptionists on their phones.
I cannot rate the hotel highly enough for their excellent hospitality service.
The location is also perfect - away from the main ***** but an easy 15 minute walk to the river rafts and another 5-10min to the ‘town’ and a variety of eating options. That’s when you turn left when you get to the main road from the hotel (5min walk). Turn right at this road and you can comfortably walk (30 min?) to some other sites like the one with the hole in the mountain (overrated) and an exquisite cave - Dragon cave. If you like caves and the formations within I highly rate this cave. It is truly gorgeous. You can also rent bikes or a scooter 10m in front of the hotel.
The staff do not speak English but they communicate via WeChat and are more than happy to help with anything.

It is very close to Shili Gallery. The scenery is beautiful. The service in the hotel is very considerate and answers all questions. The complimentary items in the hotel are quite good, including travel photography and essential oil massage. We are very satisfied with the travel photography, which recorded our beautiful memories. This hotel is highly recommended!

SSteven D.We would like to say a big thanks to all of the staff at the Tong Resort for our short but memorable stay. From a warm welcome to a fond farewell, Tong Resort gives everything you’d hope for. The hardware was all in good working order, the level of cleanliness was excellent and the service is on par or even better than international-level 5-star hotels such as The Ritz-Carlton. Quite outstanding!
The hotel reached out to me prior to arrival day for check-in and special occasion arrangements. The hotel has a WeChat private service group where all of your requests can be disseminated at ease; with the nature of our trip being a birthday surprise celebration it was rather effective! The hotel offers private car pick-up service from Yangshuo Railway Station or you may also choose Didi. Upon arrival at Tong Resort, we were presented with welcome drinks, invited to be seated and were promptly escorted to our room. You can tell they have placed a lot of thought into the room features and design; they even embroidered the hotel logo into their bed linen.
The hotel offers shuttle car services to and from West Street, this is one of the most famous global streets in China which is a must visit for all Yangshuo travelers. When we arrived back at the hotel, we were spoilt with free late night snacks sent to our room and most importantly the hotel did not forget about the birthday cake which was timely delivered at 00:00.
The breakfast by the swimming pool was scrumptious. There is a choice between Asian and Western and you can select as many items as you wish from the menu which in turn gets freshly prepared for you. The team is doing such a good job; although the hotel has only been opened for 2 years, it seems as though the staff as been trained for over 10 years!
What’s more, after check out whilst we were waiting at the lobby for Didi, a staff member had the attentiveness to place down glasses of water which she had no obligation for doing. What a nice gesture! At the end, essentially it’s these finer touches that sets a hotel from its counterparts.

I booked my stay at the Shixi Landscape Hotel in Yangshuo, Guilin, through Trip.com. The check-in process was very smooth and didn’t take long at all. One pleasant surprise was the option to upgrade our room for free, which we accepted. This upgraded room came with a lovely balcony. Although the staff couldn’t speak English, they were very friendly and helpful. Using a translation app made communication easy.
Room Details
We stayed in a standard double room with an upgrade to a balcony room. The room also featured a bathtub, which was a nice touch. Upon entering, the room was fairly clean, though there were some water stains on the floor and the carpet had a few dirty spots. The amenities were average, including a selection of soft drinks in the minibar and some snacks on the table. Despite these minor cleanliness issues, the bed was very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep.
Facilities and Services
The hotel had a restaurant where we received a complimentary breakfast upgrade. Unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet our expectations. While the Chinese food selection seemed okay, the international options were quite disappointing. The sausages were undercooked, the bacon was not good, and the cereal options looked and tasted stale. The only decent international option was toast with butter. It’s a relief we didn’t pay extra for it.
Although I noticed the hotel had a spa, gym, and pool, I didn’t get a chance to use them. The pool looked nice but was small and shallow, not suitable for a serious swim. There was no room service available as far as I knew.
Location and Accessibility
The hotel’s location was fantastic, situated right next to the Li River and only a short 5-minute walk to the main shops and streets in the town. It was very easy to find and access, making it a convenient base for exploring Yangshuo.
Customer Service
The overall customer service was great. The staff were very friendly and polite, and we encountered no issues during our stay.
Overall Experience
The best part of our stay was the hotel’s prime location, which made it easy to visit tourist attractions. The hotel staff were also very helpful in arranging scooter rentals for a very reasonable price of ¥30 per day, which allowed us to explore the beautiful scenery around Yangshuo.
However, there is room for improvement. The breakfast selection, particularly the international options, needs significant enhancement. Additionally, a thorough deep cleaning of the carpets would greatly improve the room’s cleanliness.
In conclusion, while I would recommend the Shixi Landscape Hotel for its location and overall good service, it is on the pricier side for Yangshuo. Given the cost, I expected a bit more in terms of breakfast quality and room cleanliness. Nonetheless, it is a decent option for those looking to stay near the Li River and the town’s main attractions.

PPrairieTruthfully, I am having time finding words, and that's unusual for me. I must admit I was disappointed when Yangshuo Mountain Retreat cancelled my booking because of a wedding that had booked the place, but the photos of the garden sold me. I've been to Yangshuo perhaps five times over the last 10 years, and have stayed in every kind of place there-from a cheap hostel to the boutique rooms but my dream was to stay at YMR, where I always stop and have a whiskey by the river.
When we pulled into Liqui Town, I realized I had not explored this part of the valley and was disoriented. But then the staff greeted us, carried in our bags, gave us tea, peanuts, and oranges, and set to taking care of our every need. They were this way with us from start to finish-sending us off with a bag of fresh mandarin oranges and hugs-and a promise to send an invoice for our remaining expenses-which we still have not gotten!
Apart from the wonder of just those details, the food was exquisite, our farmhouse room was stylish and simple yet so thoroughly Chinese-in the most real and unassuming way. It was an honor and a pleasure to sip tea in the farmhouse and look at the many woodcut posters and Chinese propaganda songs on the walls while staring up from the tea table to the simply elegant clay tile roof resting on the original beams, feeling the mud bricks breathe out their history silently under a soft rain and the early crows of the neighborhood roosters. I
If one is quiet and still, I believe this little gem will give up her secrets, her history, and the story and true feeling of old-time village life amongst the stunning splatters of karst and water. We enjoyed watching the staff use the traditional well to clean up around the property, and the garden did not disappoint. Truly magical and filled with bonsai that some local master has been enjoying for many years. The food was excellent. We spoke with some Chinese tourists on the way out who were very disappointed with the local version of beer fish, ah but ours was exquisite, along with the drinks and italian food. It's very rare to find this mix of culture, authenticity, generosity, and good service all wrapped into a package that does nearly guarantee the fulfillment of the motto the girls wear on their shirts, ”be inspired....”

EErikaAmazing hotel with a heartbreaking view. The location is super good, in the countryside but close to a few restaurants, shops, electrical bike rent, and some scenic spots but also at 10/15 min driving from yangshuo city. The room was huge, as was the bathroom as well, the bed was super comfortable and the bathtub with the view as the balcony was priceless. The staff is really nice and they speak English so the communication was easy. Breakfast with traditional guilin noodles was also super good, highly recommended

EEvaVLeePPLocation: The hotel is located a bit of a distance from the pier, and the uneven roads make the walk challenging. We tried to arrange a pickup since I was traveling with a group of six, including three senior citizens, but our request was denied. Eventually, I reached out via WeChat, and they helped us find the hotel. However, we still had to drag our luggage from the pier, which was not an ideal experience. On a positive note, the daily walk to West Street for food was quite convenient.
Hotel: The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and very nice. We were fortunate to be in Building A, which has a lift, making it easier for our group. The hotel is just an alley away from the bustling West Street, and we experienced minimal noise at night. However, the shower pressure was inconsistent, and the showerhead often fell off the hook—a minor inconvenience, but one that stood out during our stay.
Service: I must rate the service lower than expected. While the hotel itself is appealing, it did not live up to the positive reviews I had read. Our initial request for a pier pickup was declined, and it was only after I contacted them that they explained the roads' inaccessibility for vehicles. I had hoped for more proactive assistance regarding local attractions and e-bike rentals, but I found myself relying on Google or Trip.com for basic information. Instead of personalized recommendations, we were simply advised to take a taxi to the 10 Mile Gallery and explore on our own, which wasn't ideal for our group of six. In hindsight, I was glad I didn’t just use a taxi, as the main tourist spots were not close to one another.
Additionally, after checking in, my parents accidentally flooded the sink, and when they sought help from a nearby cleaning staff member, she was quite rude and scolded my father for the incident. While we acknowledged our mistake, this unpleasant exchange left a negative impression upon our arrival.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel if you stay in Building A (with a lift) and are not overly concerned about service.

22morrowsworldCan't complain too much about the quality of furnishings or the level of amenities this hotel offers. Rated as a four star but in reality more like an above average 3 star hotel. No gym or pool. Has a restaurant and advertises breakfast, but in fact doesn't offer breakfast as far as I could determine. Initially booked for two nights (Friday/Saturday) and reservation on Trip.com stated that this included breakfast. However the restaurant on 5th floor was empty and bereft of staff. So no breakfast provided.
Sound insulation isn't the best. Any voices sound like they come from just outside the door, and every door closed does so with a resounding deep thud! Booked double room which is reported to be 22m. Not sure about that- more like 18 or 20m. Stayed during Spring Festival period so roons more expensive than usual. In general, all else about Fanli other than what is mentioned above, iis quite good.

Kkhabitat CSThis hotel is worth writing a review. The hotel is the best looking around the area. It is on the opposite side of the 西街 food street. For location, you can give a 3 stars but you can give it 10stars. Because tour is about experience and this hotel provides the experience for taking a small noisy ferry across to the opposite side which is a tremendous experience of us and the kids. The ride is only 5minutes and you can check from the hotel room (window) to see if the boat has arrived. The swimming pool onlooking the mountain is breathtaking and this hotel definitely has the wow factor. Hotel looks new and trendy. Flashing sound from the toilet and some noise coming from the other rooms can be heard. I suggest hotel staff should explain to stayer to keep their volume down during check-in. I think it is quite understandable and customer should accept that since Yangshuo is considered a scenic area in the rural area. Enjoyable stay!
