Hotel berhampiran King Kong, Yasmine Hammamet

Love this hotel. The staff are friendly and hard working. Our room has a sea view and is great value for money. The cleaners are good. The bed is comfortable and I love the salt water pool. That has been the highlight for me! My only recommendations are that some coffee making facilities would be good in the room. However, coffee is available in the restaurant area, as far as I'm aware, all the time. The all inclusive bar has limited cocktail options but I'm not here to get drunk. The flies are a bit much in the main areas, so some sort of fly catcher / traps are recommended. Our room has been absolutely fine fly wise. Also had a great massage thanks to Riadh for organising it.

Hasdrubal Thalassa & Spa Yasmine Hammamet indeed is one of the best hotels in Hammamet. We were greeted with lovely flowers and refreshing lemonade on arrival. The staff here is literally the best! Our suite was huge, me and my friend had separate bedrooms with a private balcony and even private bathrooms and toilets and we shared a gorgeous living room with another terrace with a lovely view to the Mediterannean. The food here was delicious, we loved the iftar experience at one of their restaurants. But the best part was the SPA experience. We had the best massages and procedures here. We took their signature procedure and it was totally worth it! Can't recommend it enough!

We have just returned from a 7 night family holiday at the Alhambra Thalasso Hotel in Tunisia. What was meant to be a 5* hotel, is actually like a 2*. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Ibrahim (assistant manager) and he explained about the timings of breakfast, lunch and dinner and told us he hopes we have a relaxing holiday. As we entered our room- Room 1051, the smell of damp overtook us and the walls were covered in moths as a result. There were also cob webs near one of the lampshades. We later discovered the damp smell was in fact coming from the A/C in the room. The mini fridge was extremely dirty and broken. We went back to reception and requested a room change. Ibrahim (assistant manager) showed us to our new room (Room 2054) and was quite abrupt as if to say we should of stayed with that musty room. He doesn't realise how much money was spent for this holiday. The fridge was quite warm at the highest setting, but much cleaner then the 1st room. No drinks or soft drinks included. Evening entertainment from the animation team was good. They seemed to have about 10 chart songs, which I discovered was their only music going as they played the same exact music by the pool in the daytime and the same exact songs at night. This happened for the entire time we were there. In the morning on the 2nd day, we went to use the gym, but left disappointed to find the treadmill and bike not working. The seat for the weight's machine was broken. No one was in the gym and should of had a ''broken gym'' sign on. The food in the buffet was plentiful, but nothing looked edible. The signs were all written in French and I soon discovered that Allergy info and the availability for non-dairy users were non-existent at this hotel. I saw they had dairy milk, but myself who can't have dairy (lactose intolerance). Luckily, I had brought my own instant coffee with oat milk from the UK. They had a chef on the fresh egg stations and a chef doing fresh crepes and doughnuts. The chefs all look so miserable as if they were being forced to be there. You could just tell that they probably weren't getting paid enough. I ended up eating an omelette every day for breakfast, along with 1 small doughnut with sugar and honey. My son came down with food poisoning on Day 2 and I had to go to reception to request to see a doctor on Day 3, as my son was getting dehydrated and wasn't able to keep anything down). The reception rang the doctor (as there wasn't a doctor on site). Ibrahim then suggested it was the ''climate, weather, beach or pool'' that must of got my son ill, not the food in the hotel. The doctor came and examined my son and said it was a viral stomach bug/food poisoning that he must of caught from the hotel. The doctor said someone preparing the food must of gone to the toilet, not washed their hands then prepared the food. We even watched the chefs at the BBQ station, taking raw chicken with the same tongs that were holding cooked chicken. This

We arrived late at night and were greeted by about very friendly receptionist Monsef. We were very late but they were aware and made us feel welcome. The hotel itself is grand. The entrance atrium is huge and has a cool bar and lounge area. Some evenings there is adult entertainment in the form of pianist, singer or music. The hotel is immaculately clean everywhere I barely went into a toilet without there being a cleaner in there. The rooms are very generous and we had a large balcony overlooking the pool. The pool area is very clean. The pool is cleaned daily and gardens well maintained. The waiters serve well at the poolside. Zacharan was extremely helpful and polite. The pool bar is also quite a cool place to hang out. It’s a nice setting so should do food. Sadly even out of main season people were reserving beds with towels as early as 6.15 and not coming down until much later. They should stop this but there were enough beds. The dining experience was brilliant with loads to choose from with a mix of traditional Tunisian food and other western cuisines. All inclusive buffets are never going to be the best food but this was perfectly adequate and we qlsways found something. Fresh eggs and made to order omelettes, pancakes and donuts in the morning and the same with pasta, pizza and grilled meat and fish in the evenings. My only criticism was that at the start of the dinner service there should be more control over allocation of tables and the Maitre D should take people to tables instead of allowing people to push in. It was chaotic at times The food was plentiful but if you went in later not all the deserts had been replenished. As half board we were entitled to one inclusive meal in the a la carte restaurant. We ate in there and the food was amazing. The hotel was fantastic and I would stay there again. It’s a brilliant place to relax The staff were really so keen to please and were so so helpful Sadly outside of the hotel complex whilst the people are extremely helpful I have never seen so much litter all over the place and it spoilt the holiday. We went on a 2 day tour around Tunisia covering 1300km and the rubbish is absolutely everywhere from villages and towns to mountains and deserts. It really is such a shame. There isn’t much to do in the evenings outside of the hotel which is a shame I’ve seen other reviews say it’s loud. This hotel is not loud BUT on occasions you could hear the entertainment from the hotel Next door but it didn’t go on too late. You can walk along the beach to the harbour. There are a few places here but it all felt a little prickly. In the old town you have to be really firm with sellers in the Souks. Barter them down. This too was not massively welcoming if as a tourist you went into a bar. We were grossly overcharged for drinks even though the prices were displayed I understand they need tourism but at every opportunity they do try and get more money from you so agree taxi prices before you get on and

Discussing hotel .j don't mind old fashioned but everything was broken shower ,no handles on wardrobes . 1 draw j opened and it was just the frame no base . The patio doors 5 rooms I was shown would not lock to which I was told my belongings would be safe ! Really would you ????food very very small variety very poor quality .salad looked like it was days old . Loft broke down twice in less than 48hours .it took 3 hours each time to fix . No WiFi in any of the rooms only in reception .beaches full of rubbish . A camel opposite on its own tied up by the feet all evening and day apart from when used on the beach .it looked very unwell and underfed and was alone . The reception and pool itself were presentable. The hall way carpets were dirty and in places ripped . I beg you not to be deceived by these pictures .I've slept on sleeper trains in india that were better than this .also the majority of the people looked quite rough I hate to be judgemental but even the locals said the hotel was rubbish . Also beware love hollodays is going into liquidation j think. Some people have paid for hollodays then got to their hotels only to find out they were homeless as love hollodays had not paid the hotel !!!!disgusting!!!!!I wasn't there even 48 hours and flew home .if one thing had of been okay but everything was so poor all aspects . Just back from the most perfect week with my daughter at Hotel Aziza! All the staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough to make sure we had everything we needed. This really does include all the staff - the reception team, restaurant and bar staff, doormen, cleaning team, and the staff at the spa, without exception the service was fabulous and everyone so friendly. The pool and beach area were beautiful, clean and well kept. Sunbeds were usually all taken with towels by the time we came down at 8.30-9 but we preferred to sit on the gorgeous beach anyway where you could always find a space. Food in the main restaurant was great and varied, we had morning coffees from the beach bar and late lunches at the barbeque overlooking the beach, really perfect if you didn't want to eat inside. We tried both the Tunisian and International restaurants in the evening and both were excellent with 5 course menus and fabulous service. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable with big balconies and sea views. There is always something going on in the evening if you want to join in, live music, belly dancers, karaoke etc. The Moorish cafe in the basement and the lobby bar were both nice for pre or post dinner drinks. My daughter booked us both daily massages at the onsite spa which was an amazing treat each afternoon. Can honestly say that we can't wait to go back next year!

An absolutely stunning place with great service. It boasts stunning views over the sea. the food is great and the Spa is excellent. Special shout out to Soumaya in the Spa, she’s terrific

Room was good, cleaned everyday, everyday clean towels. Very friendly service, everyday asked us if everything was okay. Food also ok, large selection, you could choose e.g. omelette, pancakes, pizza, pasta or fish. good desserts and fruits. Good coctails. Beach also good. The pool is quiet, sun loungers are available there is no need to book them :) and the bar is open. large deep pool. Diverse music. Every day a lot of animations, stretching, darts, aquagym, water polo, volleyball. In the evening, there is a mini-disco and various events: karaoke, games, and at the end of the day, a disco. Great job by the animators, Kouki and Dido are the best.
