The Intercontinental Yokohama Pier 8 is part of the Cruise Terminal Complex ”Yokohama Hammerhead”. If you are familiar with Cup Noodle museum, then it's right behind it. It's also a short 10 minute walk from the other Intercontinental: Yokohama Grand. The closest stations for both these hotels is the Minatomirai station on the Minatomirai line. If you are coming by JR, the closet station is Sakuragi-cho on the Keihin-Touhoku line and from there about a 15 to 20 minute walk to Yokohama Grand and a further 10 minutes to Pier 8. From the Hammerhead, you can clearly see the iconic fin shaped Intercontinental Yokohama Grand. It's in a good location with shops and restaurants in Yokohama Hammerhead, Marine & Walk and the famous Red Brick warehouse. The hotel is a rectangle building with an open area in the middle (garden) of the building from level 3. The ”outside” rooms are the City and Bay View rooms while the ”inside” rooms are the Garden View rooms. There's also a rooftop garden where you have a great view overlooking the bay and can just sit and relax in the sun. The staff were exceptional and the rooms amazing. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

This hotel is unexpected nice and convenient. She is located next to the exit of the train station (日本大通站). Good for families as they have washing machines and dryers at a cost (costs Yen 400 for washing and Yen 100 for drying), guest rooms are spacious and equipped with a microwave. I also like their room amenities, including body wash and hand wash. If you prefer less busy area, but accessible, this hotel definitely is a good choice. Overall, I would rate this hotel with 4 stars out of 5.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 days. 2 adults and 1 kid. the hotel location is of course far from downtown tokyo, but that is a compromise we were willing to take to stay in a comfier and spacious room. there are two metro stations nearby (1 closer, other one a 20 minute walk away). Both walkways are passing through a mall and a covered pathway which has travelators installed. The nearby malls and cup noodle museum were great. lot of eating and dining options. and tōkyō downtown was a 40 minute subway ride. Overall a great stay. You can also get airport limousine from hotel reception level 1 and there are comfy sofas to wait for your checkin time or post checkout.

The hotel is well-located, clean, and smells good. The rooms are large, beautiful, and modern. The gym is quite basic and small. The breakfast is okay, but nothing special.

We stayed for the firework on NYE and this hotel delivered!! (Although I did go to the pier to enjoy it with the crowd). This hotel is located above Cross Gate which is a 3-4 level mall mainly of restaurants. I missed the info that they have a car park right under the building so I parked for an hour outside but that's fine. I wish it was multiple entries though. Car park is definitely challenging for bigger cars but manageable. Back to the hotel, it's typical Japanese size or even smaller if it's a two bed room. Breakfast was proper buffet style and I mean the room can fit maybe 30-40 tables if not more so you can imagine their offering is superb in both western and Japanese style. My only regret is I was too tired to walk and try each plate they offer!! Room is tiny but it can be excused by the view. Although I saw some constructions starting so the view might be blocked next time I come :( The only concern I had is that some lifts can connect to the mall bypassing the reception. So literally anyone could arrive to your door, which caught me by surprise a little.

We did have an enjoyable stay at this hotel. Around 8 minutes' walk (with luggage in hand) from/to metro (Shin Takashima station). Environment tranquil yet location convenient - just app. 15 minutes' walk to downtown area like the Mark IS, Landmark Tower, etc. where a lot of shops and eateries can be found. Staff at the reception are very courteous and helpful. Smart in answering questions from us. Room size is perfectly good. Shower is good given water flow is strong and water is hot enough. Toiletries are sufficient. With the two reading lamps on, the room is brightly lit (although it would seem perfect if there could be one or two more light bulbs on the ceiling). Breakfast is good. Staff from the kitchen and the restaurant are seen to be working meticulously and attending to the details to make sure that every corner is clean and hygienic, and that the food is timely refilled. An adequate variety of food and drinks, really exceeding our expectations. Love to stay at this hotel again in future visits to Yokohama.

No good for families We booked a stay here at the end of our 2 week Japan holiday. We decided on this hotel in particular as it offered a swimming pool. Because of bed configuration we booked 2 rooms. Unfortunately we arrived to discover the swimming pool is only open from 3-8pm and anyone under 140cm (my 10 year old) is only welcomed until 6pm and must be accompanied in the water with an adult at all times. Anyone even entering the pool deck must be in a swimsuit. I feel this is simply to accommodate the social media vibe as every person on the deck was there for the selfies. We are leaving well before 3 tomorrow so our opportunity for taking a dip is limited. A brand new hotel that cannot accommodate a morning lap swim seems like a big miss to me. Onto the rooms. Tiny, and awkward with basins in the bedroom area rather than in the bathroom space. Odd. Shower also only has clear glass door so if you’re here for a romantic weekend with a partner that may be fine but families with teens wouldn’t mind a bit of privacy when showering. As mentioned earlier the room configuration with only twin beds meant we had to book two rooms. We did so but when we arrived they were unable to accommodate us on one floor. Again. Not family friendly. Four elevators service the guest rooms and they are crazy slow. With our family split over two floors it was endlessly frustrating. Yokohama was fabulous just wish we stayed at a different hotel.

At the top of a downtown tower is the Oakwood Suites Yokohama. Upon arrival; after parking in the hotel's underground car park, we arrived at the reception with a breathtaking view of the city of Yokohama and Mount Fuji in the distance. Our rooms were fantastic and beautifully decorated. They were very large with a large, very well-equipped kitchen, a magnificent bathroom, a washing machine and a breathtaking view of the harbour. The cleanliness of the room and the hotel was exemplary. We had a very pleasant stay and all the hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly.

Memandangkan lokasi, kebersihan, harga, dan lain-lain, saya fikir ia akan menjadi baik tanpa tab mandi, tetapi saya fikir ia akan menjadi lebih baik jika ia berlaku. Secara keseluruhan, saya ingin menggunakannya semula apabila saya bercadang untuk tinggal di Yokohama lagi. terima kasih banyak - banyak!
