Hotel berhampiran Junian, Yugawara

Hotel Shiroyama might be easily overlooked by foreign travelers. And there may be a reason for that. It doesn't really cater to non-Japanese speakers. That said, if you can speak some Japanese and you have a good understanding of Japanese etiquette and rules, you can have an excellent experience at this hotel. (I am a Westerner, I can speak some Japanese, and I have a Japanese husband. All of this was greatly to my benefit, so, keep that in mind as you read this review.) Hotel Shiroyama is, depending on what part of the hotel you are in, quite old. There are parts of it that look like it's from the Showa era, with maroon walls and old-style hotel carpeting. But then... in the men's sento (public bath), it was incredibly beautiful and clean and modern. Small, yes, but still, truly lovely. Also, the rooms: there must have been a ”refresh” on all the bathrooms: there were double sinks, a stall shower with an overheard attachment so you can really get a good blasting if you want one, and of course a washlet toilet with the lid that opens when you approach it. The rooms were also quite large, with a separate little sitting area near the window (although there is no view to speak of, at least from the 2nd floor). The pièce de résistance is the Japanese dinner that is served in your room. It is quite astonishing in the number of dishes that are offered: lots of small appetizers, sashimi, sumashijiru (a clear soup that is divine), beef stew covered with a baked rice cracker, several other dishes that are heated at the table, rice, of course, and more. We stopped counting and stopped eating -- it was too much. And then of course there was dessert. Now, I am not saying this was a 5-star meal; some of it was great, the rest was good. But the amount that was served was sort of mind-boggling. Of course you can also order beer or sake or soft drinks to go with the meal. Trust me; for two people, it was just way too much food, unless you have super hearty appetites and absolutely love Japanese cuisine. That said, if you are unable to sit cross-legged in a chair made for that purpose, you will be somewhat uncomfortable for the entire meal. It is all served on a low table, and while you can put your feet under the table, you will not be sitting in a position that is natural for most Westerners. There is a smallish table in the sitting room (near the window), but do not expect them to put the food there, because there are too many dishes and they won't fit. I would say the Hotel Shiroyama went above and beyond to provide a really lovely ”Japanese experience” with their dinner. Also, the breakfast served in the morning in a communal dining room was fairly hearty, but it is entirely Japanese. If you are used to eating this way, or you are craving this kind of experience you will enjoy it -- but remember, these meals are ”set.” There is no substitution for anything. 傳統的日式酒店，房間很大，洗澡要去公共浴室，晚上12點結束，房間裏有茶，有小點心，酒店有點老，但是還是不錯的，相比日本市區酒店，這裏算很舒服了，早上退房9:30/10:00/10:30有車子送去地鐵站，幫忙拿行李，服務都是超級好的，

性價比高。離熱海站很近，步行距離5分鐘，十分方便。出JR站後左轉一直筆直走就到了（途徑公交車站，對面還有一家全家）。自助入住，check-in的時候記得向工作人員要個燒水壺，不要房間裏是沒有的；牙刷、杯子等一次性用品在電梯那裡拿。不過呢，早餐是很小的三明治和咖啡，吃不飽，不推薦。入住前可以在酒店裡預存行李（一層自動行李箱）。MOA美術館可以坐酒店前的公交直達，但是還是建議去熱海站總站去坐車，否則可能會沒有座位。工作人員比較冷臉，不熱情。還有一個不好的地方是從熱海站到酒店途中會經過一個天國葬祭場，有點晦氣~其他都比較完美~

The hotel was very nice and It was a fascinating experience for me and my friend. Cats were soooo cute and adorable. It was a terrible mistake. I didn't go to neko Cafe with my cellphone. There were so many kitties and cats. Momo slept with us, and she was so nice and cute. She slept on my hand so I couldn't move but it was so happy. If I go to Japan next time, here will be my first destination, and I'd like to stay long days. Thank you for the nice host. Thank you. Oh, but if u want to ride an airplane from here. Please check u have many times to go to the airport. Here is a little bit far from the airport. But It will be a nice experience for those who want to live with cats in only one day like me!

6月上旬に1泊お世話になりました。 大雨の日でタクシーに乗るか迷ったのですが、熱海商店街を抜けたらすぐ見える お宿でびっくり！ タクシーに乗らなくてよかった（笑） お宿についたら日帰り温泉（大浴場利用）の方もおられる感じでした。 玄関ロビーは広くてお土産コーナー（売店）や飲料が自由に飲めるスペース がありました。 お部屋は、というと… 新館なのでかなーり建物の奥。エレベーターに乗って3階へ、そこから 左や右や階段があったりとすごく迷う感じ（到着時はお部屋までご案内あり） 新館の「満天」というお部屋をお借りしました。 すごーく広くて快適です。 冷蔵庫やコーヒー・お茶などが飲めるようになっており また、売店に売っているチョコレートや*の和菓子等を置いてくれてます。 アメニティもPOLAで揃えてあり、ベットも広くて寝心地がいいです。 内湯のお風呂は外！ 少し熱めに設定されている感じです。 季節は6月で外はさほど寒くなかったのですが 冬は外だと寒い感じかな。 （簾がある程度なのでお湯に浸かるまでは寒いかも） ひろーいヒノキのお風呂には湯の華が付いてて風流。 景色は家や海が見えます。 とっても綺麗に掃除されていました。 お夕飯は6時（時間は選べました） 食事処の前でお出迎えしてくださったのは可愛いミャンマー出身の女性。 夕飯、朝食の時もずっと立って待っててくれた感じです。 日本語も堪能で、すごく愛想が良くて丁寧な接客して下さいました。 お料理は和食で、とっても美味しいです。塩加減も量もほどよくて残すこともなく 良かったです。金目のお煮つけも上手に作られていて美味しかったです。 朝食は8時にして頂き、選べる干物と湯豆腐やサラダ等… これまた量も程よくて、炊き立てのご飯も水加減もよくて 美味しかったのでおかわりしました！ 南魚沼産のこしひかりじゃないと、という主人が「お米が美味しい」 と言ってました！ （お宿が提供くださったのは山形のお米ですがとても美味しいです） 一つ残念なのは、内湯の簀子の隙間からGが出ます（虫） 部屋に入り込んできたので、 フロントに電話して*虫スプレーをお願いしましたら うまく潰さずに処理してくださいましたが… 大きかったのでちょっと焦りました。 それ以外はとても良かったと思います。 アンケートに答えて、このお宿の入浴剤を頂きました（笑） また次回もお伺いしたいと思ってます。ありがとうございました。

Perjalanan ini benar-benar bernilai, biliknya sangat besar dan bersih, kemudahannya sangat baik, ia membuatkan orang berasa damai, dan saya tidak mahu kembali. Berada di dalam bilik untuk masa yang lama sebelum mendaftar keluar. Anda juga boleh melihat bunga api di atas bumbung tanpa sebarang halangan. Ia benar-benar satu kejutan! Ia juga sangat dekat dengan stesen, jadi ia sangat mudah untuk menjamu selera dan kereta! Kolam air panas juga sangat memuaskan, dan ikan bakar untuk sarapan pagi juga sangat lazat. Hotel ini sangat sesuai untuk perjalanan ini. Saya tidak dapat mencari sebarang kekurangan. Saya juga bersetuju dengan keluarga saya untuk datang ke Atami lain kali! Terima kasih banyak kepada pemiliknya, kerana saya mengandung dan menyesuaikan suhu air panas, jadi ia sangat bertimbang rasa!

I’m a little torn to rate the location average because it can be a pain to get to if you don’t have a car, but the view from the room (apparently all rooms have view of the sea) is great. A lot of variety for breakfast but nothing really stood out. I didn’t get to visit the onsen because they don’t allow tattooed people. I would stay again, especially in summer on a fireworks day!

It was obvious from arrival that this hotel is brilliantly managed. In a clean and beautifully decorated reception area we were welcomed in a friendly and professional manner. Our room was spotless, well designed and comfortable with a fantastic view of the ocean and everything you could possibly need, even including bilingual TV!! I think the view improves the higher the floor, so aim for the highest of the twelve levels you can get! We were only able to stay one night, so couldn’t experience all of the countless facilities, but we absolutely loved the amazing and Brilliantly designed Bade centre with its beautiful swimming pool complex, impressive fitness centre and hot spring baths!! We had sunny but cool weather but swam outdoors in the heated pool area!! Brilliant!! There is a lounge area that serves a variety of food with specialities and themes. It’s very nice and has a well stocked bar, but it isn’t cheap!! Friendly service and a relaxing atmosphere, but “expensive”!! The buffet dinner though is good value with a wide range of tasty international dishes to suit all tastes! Go to the buffet for dinner!! The breakfast too was international and delicious. The dining room service was unbelievably friendly, thoughtful and professional!! Have no worries about choosing this hotel!

サービスが充実していました。 12階に温泉（露天風呂、サウナあり）があり、夜と朝2回行きました。朝は富士山が見えて良かったです。 お部屋からも富士山が綺麗に見えました。 無料サービスも充実しており、ウェルカムドリンク・湯上がりアイスサービス・夜鳴きそば・湯上がり乳酸菌飲料サービスがありました。 また、お部屋の冷蔵庫にペットボトルの水とゼリーも用意されていて、更に泊まった日がホワイトデーだったのでチェックインの際にもスイーツをいただきました。 朝食も気になったのでチェックインの際、追加しました。 和洋さまざまあり、特に駿河丼が美味しかったです！ 違う地域のドーミーインも気になるので行ってみたいと思いました。

This hotel is right next to the Mishima train station for both regular JR trains and Shinkansen trains on Tokyo-Osaka line. One can walk in without even cross the road. Access if from the first floor (ground) and the reception is in the second floor. There is a small shopping area in the ground floor. Rooms are of good size with separate seating area. Beds are comfortable and have all facilities expected in a first class hotel. More importantly the toilet and bathroom are in sperate enclosures. If one gets the station side rooms, one could see Mt Fuji in all its glory. Breakfast is good with a choice of Japanese and western dishes; and staff is quite helpful. The only issue is that noise insulation could be little better; it is certainly not comparable to what we found in a hotel situated next to a busy train track.
