Booked Zadar as a last minute trip & the first city break we have done, with our two young children. On arrival the hotel looks like a rose between thorns as the surrounding area is still quite rustic, but you can clearly the see the city is up and coming. Great location and easily accessible to the old town for walking! Hotel is modern deco (which we love), beautifully kept and clean. Room was perfect and enough space for all four of us, we had breakfast included and was completely worth it! Good variety & staff were so friendly. Didn’t eat for dinner as went out every evening but found ourselves enjoying the range of cocktails through out the stay, overall would absolutely stay here again and really enjoyed our first visit!!

On every trip we try to find at least one R & C hotel and were thrilled to find this, especially with its very reasonable cost. Directions to hotel were easy; a bit confusing as far as which driveway to take for secure parking (it is the second one, which is just past the hotel). Once there, we just parked on the otherwise closed street. Brisk service at the desk by a very personable receptionist (who BTW is an identical twin, which explains why it seemed that he was there 24/7!). The room was spotless, with a nice view of the river, a/c, clean, second floor, both stairs and elevator service. My wife ate breakfast and it was terrific; unfortunately we'd already shot our budget on a 5 star dinner in Dubrovnik so we didn't sample their Michelin rated restaurant. We were going to Plitvice lakes from Zadar and the recommendations about the lakes sort of suggested it was really isolated so we were looking for food to bring; it was Easter Monday and everything was closed so the staff of the dining room where my wife had breakfast were wonderful about supplying us with plenty of food for our excursion. Plenty of hot water in the bathroom. In room fridge and safe. Top notch, excellent location. You are literally across from the ferries, 2 minute walk to the Sea Organ and Salute to the Sun and the entirety of downtown Zadar.

Stayed one night here to explore Zadar with a friend, was well placed within the old town, very clean, comfy beds and fantastic breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff, highly recommend. If staying longer there are chill out areas with pool table and place to watch films.

Me and my friend we spent 5 nights here in private room with breakfast included in the price of accomodation and I can't explane how much we enjoied every single morning sitting outside and eating really nice breakfast. We are spechless. The propety was so beautiful, modern and clean. Location is 10 out of 10! Staff was really friendly and welcoming, one evening we ate dinner there and they just gave us free dessert as a thank you for eating dinner here. As a guest we had 15% off for lunch and dinner and even withou the discount the price list is more than fine due to the location in the center of Old Town Zadar. So if you are looking for nice, calm, clean and warm welcoming hotel/hostelthis is THE ONE! - Adela and Simona

Fabulous hotel in an amazing setting. The food and drink were excellent. The service was great and the facilities were fabulous. A real hidden gem. The location on the headland is spectacular and the sea all around is such an amazing colour. Lots of places to swim and jump off the rocks. Several swimming pools as well around the hotel and we never struggled to get a sunbed. The buffet was good and there were themed nights a few times a week. Service was good and the staff were all very helpful.

The host of this beautiful two bedroom 2 bathroom condo was super nice and very helpful, we did not have to search for anything because she had already showed us where everything would be. She also gave us great suggestions of places where to eat and places to go and explore. I would highly suggest you stay here, you will love your stay. The condo has a high level of fashion and very well made, the condo is a luxury. The best beds in all my trip in Croatia. This place is close to everything, and you will be in the middle of it all.

The front desk staff was very helpful, providing a map for us to take the short walk to the waterfront and downtown. They also helped us find a self-serve laundry not far from the hotel. Breakfast on the patios was a delightful experience with lots of options and attentive service. We were also able to secure one of the limited number of parking spots (reserve ahead - highly recommended)

PPengguna TetamuWhat a friendly and nice hotel to be in! We had room 108 which was just perfect - it had a balcony and a small fridge. The swimming pool was nice and had just enough beds around it. After exploring Zadar and its environment it was just great to get back there. It doesn’t seem like the typical hotel where you bring your young children, which just made it perfect for us (as it limits the crowd at the swimming pool and breakfast ;)). We had a half-board stay and the evening dinners are not the typical buffet style, but a 3 or 4 course meal with options for meat, fish or vegetarian. We loved it!

Met bus paar minuten. Kamer met balcon uitstekend...airo bed douche prima. Ontbijt prima, de bijzonder lieve gastvrouw maakt het verblijf helemaal top. Bedankt

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed here for one night at the start of May, rooms were clean spacious, tidy and modern. Only issue we had was the air con wasn’t working as it was still in winter mode, despite the temperature outside being warm. Rooms are in a good location, an easy place to get taxis into the old town. To find the car park, it needs to be better signposted to come in through McDonald’s.

We were lucky to meet with Croatian and Ukraine Vollyball teams who were preparing to play on Sunday 12th.June. All facilities in the room were great although hairdryer was a little naff, for me. We had a twin room with a side view of the beautiful Kolovare Beach which was gorgeous. On one evening walked up to Zadar, watched the sunset, just awesome and sat at the Sea Organ where there was also a craft Market and food you could buy. Such a fantastic atmosphere .. It was easy to book Koronati tour and a sight seeing ride on Tuk Tuk. Fontana icecreams across the road from hotel are wonderful. We spent a few days in Old Town Zadar, what a beautiful place to be. In regards to the hotel, they allow smoking on balcony in your.room (I suspect that will change in the future as Croatia are now part of European Union)... We had a wonderful time and felt very safe in Zadar x On the picky side, there was no.kettle in the room or.tea and coffee facilities!!! Shock, horror... However they supplied us with a kettle FOC and.that was soon sorted. Shocker, ar dinner, no water or hot drinks provided .. had to pay... we soon got over that as drinks were.reasonably priced... Oh and lots of bread but butter will need to be requested. I.would happily have drank water but the staff, no fault of their own, could not.provide. The food.was.ok, all a bit samey but we.got through. Overall a pleasant stay, great pool Sunbeds with hoods and parasols, towels provided. Zadar is simply beautiful x Not.to be missed x Happy holidays

MMatthiasDas Hotel Donat bietet ein sehr faires Angebot mit einem ausgezeichnetem Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Zimmer sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Die Sauberkeit ist aber sehr gut und die Matratzen sind sehr bequem. Das Essen ist bodenständig und schmackhaft. Es gibt immer eine große Auswahl an frisch zubereiteten Gerichten. Zur Innenstadt von Zadar kann man bequem laufen. Die ca. 4 km lange Strecke folgt dem Küstenverlauf und ist angenehm zu gehen. Mehrere Bushaltestellen sind direkt in der Nähe. Man erreicht das Hotel aus den Stadt mit den Linien 5 und 8. Ich komme gerne wieder!

A very basic hotel situated in an uninteresting part of town and reflecting its use in a previous life. The Dining area was located in the kitchen area and whilst the meals were quite adequate and wholesome, and drinks inexpensive, the ambiance was poor. Our room was basic, bed comfortable, clean, basic shower recess and no tea or coffee making facilities. Towels were old and thin and only changed every second day. Wifi was good! As part of a coach tour we felt it was a poor choice of hotel, given previous hotels were a high standard.
