So, if you are looking for a budget hotel ..stop reading. This is “erste Klasse“, you pay and will get everything you need. The hotel is very modern, not at a traditional Austrian hotel. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The every day cleaning is flawless. The breakfast is very.. I say very good… if you have included spa in your stay, you will enjoy something special… there different saunas.. spacious areas to relax… if you want to take a swim.. the hotel has two … indoor and outdoor.. it’s up to you… Why I love this hotel is that the service is great and the atmosphere is .. well it’s really relaxing.. you don’t get the feeling of that you are staying at a railway station.. if you get the feeling….but the downside is that you have to pay for this … well you only live once…

We had a fantastic stay at the Alpenblick Sport Resort, the Segl family are lovely hosts, and their team are second to none. It was our second time to Zell am See, the first being in 2008/9, this trip was our first family winter holiday, and it was perfect. The food and drinks were incredible, a real treat, the restaurant was clean and tidy, and the staff served the delicious dishes with great efficiency and a big dose of warmth and humour. The bar area is superb as were the live music events, the spa and pool were amazing, the kids playroom entertaining, the bedrooms perfect. All in all a great stay, definitely recommended.

I have a complaint. Yesterday, I came to breakfast according to my reservation at the hotel. I did not find a table and I did not find anyone to receive me. So I went to a table where there was no one. I sat down to eat breakfast. I was surprised that the waiter asked me to leave the table in front of everyone, which embarrassed me in front of everyone present and put me at a far table. About the people, and I had to talk to the manager Marco to solve my problem. First, he refused to shake my hand. He showed me the guest list and that I was at the bottom of the list and did not deserve to be in view. He told me that he would reserve a table for me for tomorrow, but when I arrived today, I did not find my room number on any table nor anyone to guide me. Where is the professionalism in this dealing? And the manager tells me that I am at the bottom of the list and I do not deserve your good place!!!

RRita SOnly stayed the one night but we made most welcome in this huge hotel. Reminds me of a small cruise ship with 220 rooms, so a total of around 500 guests. The dining room is large but the buffet for evening meal starter and breakfast can only be described as “obscene”. There is so much choice, it can take you half an hour just to walk around the huge array of food, I have never seen so much good quality food in one place. You would expect the evening meal not to be that good as they are catering for such a large amount of people but the food is well presented and you really can not fault it. We were given a lovely room, room 315 very modern with a comfortable bed, decent shower and lovely picture window and bed overlooking a beautiful view. The only bad thing was that we hit a hot spell and no air con, sleeping with the windows open let the odd fly and mozzie in at night which was a pain. We were on half board, lots of parking outside (for free) and inside garage (for a fee). We had free access to the huge swimming pool and spa complex and also their own hotel spa area and infinity pool which although so much smaller, we actually preferred. You are allowed access from 9am on the day of your arrival, we arrived at 11am thinking that we could use the facilities and get our room after 3. I think because they were quiet we were offered check in at 11am which was amazingly generous of them, check out is 11am the next day. As I said, the staff were lovely and although a huge hotel we were here in June so did not feel at all manic. Really nice experience but lacked a bit of sophistication if you are wanting something a little bit special. It was my birthday on the day we left and at breakfast they brought hubby and I a couple of glasses of champagne and a lovely chocolate cake with a sparkler on the top which really was a lovely touch (although s bit embarrassing) and actually very much appreciated.

PPengguna TetamuWir haben zu zweit drei großartige Tage im Hotel Heitzmann verbracht. Angefangen bei dem immer ausgesprochen köstlichen Abendmenü und Frühstück im klassischen und äußerst gemütlichen Restaurant bis zu den modernen Zimmern mit schönen Holzböden hat einfach alles unseren Wünschen entsprochen. Das Personal war immer zuvorkommend und aufmerksam und hatte auch den ein oder anderen Tipp für Aktivitäten in der Gegend parat. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral am Stadtplatz von Mittersill situiert, von dem aus man nach ca. 10-minütiger Fahrt die Gondel erreicht. Auch eine Anreise mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln - so haben wir das gemacht - können wir empfehlen, da sich direkt vor dem Hotel die Busstation befindet, an der u.a. Busse Richtung Kitzbühel oder Zell am See halten. Da wir eben ohne Auto unterwegs waren, nahmen wir jeden Tag in der Früh den mehrmals pro Stunde fahrenden und für Schifahrer kostenlosen Schibus zur Gondelstation, der ebenfalls direkt vor dem Hotel abfährt. Die Fahrpläne wurden uns vom Hotel zu Verfügung gestellt, die Busse kamen immer pünktlich und zuverlässig. Und das Schigebiet Mittersill-Kitzbühel ist sowieso ein Traum. Unser Zimmer lag auf der linken Seite des Gebäudes im 2. Stock und war durch einen Lift erreichbar. Es war äußerst sauber und ruhig gelegen, nur um 7 Uhr morgens wird man von den Kirchturmglocken geweckt, was uns aber nicht wirklich etwas ausmachte. Wellnessbereich und Schikeller super! Das Hotelpersonal ging auf alle unsere Fragen und Wünsche ein und war in jeder Situation hilfreich und liebenswürdig. Aus all diesem Gründen haben wir uns rundum wohlgefühlt und können das Hotel Heitzmann nur wärmstens empfehlen!

PPengguna TetamuMy apologies for being so late in reviewing this hotel. We, a group of 4 friends from Waterford , Ireland stayed there in January 2024. My friends not having not previously experienced Austrian culture nor Austrian ski resorts were blown away by our week stay at the St Georg. We arrived approximately 8pm and we were met by the ever friendly Danielle who checked us in and made us all feel so welcome. Breakfasts as you would expect was as a typical European Buffett and the atmosphere in the dining area always relaxed, cordial and professional. I was late one morning, but was afforded a last minute cup of coffee to wake me up. 😂 Proximity to the nearest gondola. Walk downhill for 5 mins or go the gondola and get the Schillerstraße bahn bus up to the middle station. Just follow the river directly across from the hotel. You won’t get lost. 😉 This hotel has everything . Good food, super staff, swimming pool, sauna but most of all this family knows how to run a business and continued success to them. Having been in Austria for many years skiing, this Hotel was definitely one of my favourites. Oh and don’t forget to say Hello to Karl at the bar. Looks like a WWE wrestler but is in fact a friendly giant. Thanks guys. Hopefully see ye next year.

PPengguna TetamuIt’s hard to review this hotel as there are so many positives but one negative that would make me not return. The positives are excellent location as in a 10 minute walk to the bus station , train station, lake ,and pedestrianised restaurant area.Bus and train transport in the area is free with a pass from the hotel a very welcome extra . The staff are super friendly, the hotel is very clean ,the breakfast was lovely with a cooked option as well as a cold buffet style . The major downside was the proximity to the road . Just a kerb between to the road. We stayed in a balcony room but this was on the corner of the building and the road. The road is very busy so noise was constant. However if the windows were shut it was relatively quiet as triple glazed . It was very hot when we were there’s so you couldn’t have them open and the room fan didn’t really cope . Not sure if you requested a room at the back of the hotel that it would be quieter. In fairness we didn’t ask to swap rooms ,as we liked our actual room and paid extra for a balcony . In the winter i don’t expect that this is an issue. Zell am see is so lovely and we really enjoyed our stay.

PPengguna TetamuPersonale cordiale specialmente le adette alle pulizie. Sala colazione rinnovata, colazione a buffet con una buona scelta di prodotti. Ottima la posizione a pochi passi dal centro ed il parcheggio a disposizione degli ospiti anche se a pagamento. Persistente cattivo odore nella camera soprattutto dal wc (pippì), porta del bagno praticamente logorata, dentro al bagno scarsa illuminazione, sanitari più che datati, anche se puliti sono incrostati dall'usura. Lavabo senza tappo. Le foto pubblicate non riflettono lo stato attuale della camera, che è molto più usurata. Molto rumoroso si trova sull'incrocio della via principale trafficatissima sia di giorno che di notte e dato che non c'è AC occorre tenere la finestra aperta. Necessita di restyling sicuramente la camera che avevamo noi.

PPengguna TetamuA small B&B close to the Lake. Trains run frequently along the track between the Hotel and the lake. There are about 38 rooms over 4 floors. The Hotel has a small ski room in the basement with boot warming racks and also in the basement is a, free to use, Sauna with shower and a relaxation area with complimentary towels, open 4:30-8:30pm each evening. There is no lift so not ideal for those less mobile. Rooms vary in size and occupancy. Room 32 on the top floor is very small Twin, with slimline beds and limited storage. OK for one person, but would be extremely small for 2. There is a TV in the room and there is a side view of the lake from the windows (no balcony). I slept with the windows open and the the noise from the trains didn’t wake me. The bathroom was spotlessly clean (March 2023) and the shower was quite powerful with shower gel provided. Tissues, loo roll, Liquid soap and towels are also provided (1 bath & 1 Hand/Face. For guests staying Saturday - Saturday, towels are changed once per week on Wednesdays. There is a charge of you require a more frequent change. Rooms are cleaned & beds made, most days. Breakfast, served 07:30-09:30, is a typical selection of meats and cheese slices, soft cheese triangles, eggs (alternating hard boiled & scrambled), tomatoes & cucumber. There is a variety of breads available (with toaster) cereals, milk, juice, yoghurt, Oranges & Apples, Jam and chocolate spread. You can make your own Waffles and there area variety Tea’s and a coffee machine (free, ignore the charge sign at breakfast). Room vacation on day of departure is 10:00am.
