The room is large, but since it is an old hotel, the bathroom is small and smells a bit. Breakfast is a specialty of Jinling. It is very rich. The noodle stalls include fried fish and braised meat, and the cold dishes include beef and jellyfish. Although it is the Spring Festival, since Zhangjiagang is not a popular city, the hotel does not increase the price. There is welcome fruit every day, 2 bottles of drinks in the small refrigerator are free, and 2 bottles of homemade yogurt are given as a gift on the day of check-out. I took my children to Zhangjiagang during the peak period of National Day. I was so tired that I didn’t return to Shanghai on the same day. I booked this hotel. The environment is better, the sanitation is relatively clean, and the parking is convenient. The only drawback is that the price is not good. The breakfast fee is included. I went out to have breakfast and enjoy the beautiful scenery on the street. When I checked out, my baby asked me to write a few messages, so I came up with the following text, which is quite meaningful.

I stayed in a double bed room. The room was clean and comfortable, the space was large, and the service was also very good. At this price, I can live in such a room. It was much better than expected. My baby liked it very much. I will stay here again next time.

The person at the front desk called Yu Miao Miao was particularly bad. When I asked her if there was any express delivery, she simply said no. They were all in the security room. I spent a long time looking for it at the door of the security room on a rainy day, and finally contacted the courier guy. The guy said he would leave it to this person named Yu Miaomiao. The courier guy confronted me on the phone and said he had it. He also said, ”I don't know who you are, and you didn't say your name.” My original words were to directly ask if the express delivery had arrived. If the front desk was normal, they would ask you if you are a hotel guest? What's the name? Instead of just telling me ”No, go to the security room to find it.” In the final analysis, he just likes to torture disgusting people. It's really unlucky for a hotel to have such a front desk

It was my first time to stay at Shazhou Lake Hotel during the Spring Festival when I returned to Zhangjiagang. The hotel facilities were very good, the service staff were enthusiastic, and the family stay also upgraded the room type and delayed check-out. Although the children's playground was not big, the children had a lot of fun. Tea souvenirs were given upon check-out. Overall, it was a very good stay experience, and it felt more comfortable than staying at Marriott.

The hotel environment is clean, refreshing and very good. The surrounding transportation is convenient and there is a large parking lot. The free breakfast was given, but the portion was a bit small and I didn’t feel full. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Zhonglian GDH Hotel - finally back after 4 years. 8 nights in room 1718 ”Deluxe Queen”, at the back. Reasonably quiet this time, probably due to the lack of traffic and fewer guests - meaning less banging doors. Very dark. Bed was actually a king size and wasn't too firm. I slept well most nights. International power points with USB ports. Adjustable and very cold aircon had no trouble in the 36C heat. Good water pressure with rain and hand showers. No bath. Some marks on the carpet and chair upholstery. Good buffet breakfast with eggs to order. Chinese bacon. Baked beans some mornings. Lots of sweet options and pastries and several types of fresh fruits such as watermelon, dragonfruit and pineapple. Automatic coffee machine coffee that was almost drinkable on a couple of mornings but mostly bad. I really enjoyed the room service shrimp fried rice on several nights and there is a new McDonald's and KFC close by. Almost no english tv channels. No smart tv. I have stayed here many times over the last decade but this time the GDH was very quiet with me being the only westerner that I saw in the hotel on most days. Not sure if the new Marriott has caused this. Lovely help from the customer service managers- even helping me order online food since I don't read Chinese and everything is now done by an app. Limited internet access in Jiangsu that blocked my Gmail, even though I could download it in Zhejiang. One day my webmail was also totally blocked but mysteriously became accessible again the next.

The best hotel ever. Don't know how many stars but feel that you are in 5stars hotel with correspondent price. So warmly helpful staffs, in any situation try to find a way. Very tasty breakfast.

Very clean and well kept hotel. Breakfast is a buffet with amsixng food. The shower has an amazing rainfall shower head.

I thought it was cloudy, but when I got there, the sun was shining, the breeze was not dry, the pool water was sparkling and took away the summer heat, the sunset on the roof, the rice seedlings outside the building were not noisy, and the sound of KTV at night also occupied the emo time on weekdays. At 0:00, the first day of my birth, I saw the blooming of cactus flowers. The thorns of the cactus are short and sharp, and the flowers are indeed flourishing. This flourishing made me appreciate this encounter, the shades fell on the paper, and the ink smudged the midsummer. The store sister is super nice. Knowing that it is my birthday, she sent a birthday cake and a small cake. It was really fun to play table football, billiards and VR. We sang in KTV until 12 o'clock. The sister's husband was also very responsible for us until 12 o'clock. He was also very worried about our meals and helped us get takeout. The sister's daughter is also super cute.
