My family of 10 (we had 5 rooms) visited hotel Storchen in June 2023. Proper to the visit, I emailed with the concierge several times and am blown away by the service provided. The concierge helped me plan all of my activities and was able to reserve transportation for us months prior to our arrival. We took the train from Paris to Zurich and walked to the hotel from the train station (easy walk). Check-in was super efficient and simple. We received some drink coupons so we headed to the rooftop bar for cocktails and lunch. Everything was amazing. The food was delicious, the drinks were cold, and the service was friendly and quick. Breakfast was included as I booked through amex. I LOVED their breakfast. They had a continental buffet (including self-serve mimosas) and a menu to order hot items from. Everything was delicious and it was a great start to our day every day. I would definitely stay here again!

I recently stayed at the Widder Hotel and my experience was disappointing overall. Despite being granted an “upgrade” through American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts, the room was still small and not what I expected for the price, which was over $500 per night. The real disappointment came from the service at their restaurant, August, where a waiter displayed an arrogant and highly selective attitude towards guests. I did not feel welcomed, and for such a high-end establishment, I expected a more accommodating atmosphere. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.

For a business trip, the hotel location is just unbeatable. Average rooms are small, can’t fit comfortably 2 persons. But service is good, breakfast was really tasty and the place is really beautiful. Even though the old school room keys are cool, they need to be replaced by a more modern set up - especially since the keys are also the elevator keys. If you are going to Zurich for business would certainly recommend. For a couples trip, would probably try other places, as this one is also not on the cheap side.

Zürich Marriott is close to the train and bus station in 10 minutes walking distance where all day trips began & ending at. The hotel staff are nice & helpful. Breakfast comes with varieties and their signature Swiss dishes dining at eCHo is highly recommended. We‘ll come back when visiting Zürich again.

A lovely location near restaurants and shops. The staff at this hotel were lovely and very helpful from the reception to housekeeping to the lady at breakfast. The rooms were well appointed and very clean. They had opening windows, air conditioning and a mini bar. They organised transport to the airport. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Great and easy check in. Watt and Derrick were very helpful with the check in and info about Zurich. Loved the complimentary drinks at check in. Compact room but very modern with cool amenities. Loved the big and soft towels. Found the hidden hair dryer in a cute pouch. Water pressure in the shower was just right. They also stored our luggage for an extra day. Enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back to this hotel.

The hotel was quite strange. Upon arrival there was no staff and we had to do self check in. We were a group of 5 people with 3 rooms. We were let into the hotel via the intercom. The computer at the desk required a booking reference or QR code. Our hotel had been booked through a travel agent and we hadn’t been provided with either. So instead we had to manually input each persons details into the computer. This took absolutely ages! After travelling for quite a long time this was the last thing we wanted to spend time doing! The rooms were fairly compact, especially the bathroom. The hotel seems to have spent a lot of money on branded items in the rooms including a yoga matt and other random things - it would be better to have more staff in my opinion! The beds were very comfy though and an actual double bed instead of two singles pushed together. There was also a coffee machine in the room. Breakfast was very basic and seemed understaffed as a lot of things had run out. Again for check out there was no staff at the desk do we had to self check out via the emailed invoice - this didn’t work as we had to pay the city tax so I used the phone at the desk to do this. The location of the hotel is a bit out of the centre but is easily accessed (if you have luggage) using the number 7 tram at the main railway station otherwise it is walkable. Have given this 3 stars due to the lack of staff and it being so impersonal!

It seems clear to me that the quality of customer service in travel has greatly deteriorated in the last three years. I understand that service providers have trouble finding and retaining people and the ones they have often don’t seem to take pride in their work. Sadly, I’ve come to accept this as the “new normal.” Which is why our recent three-night stay at the Park Hyatt in Zurich was such a welcome surprise. Not only was our room clean and comfortable but the service we received, from start to finish, was efficient and personal. Just a few examples: We had a flight delay and airport transfer difficulty arriving to Zurich and did not get to the hotel until after 1:00. The gentleman working the front desk who checked us in, got us waters, helped with our bags and personally escorted us to our rooms. He was also working the next night when we returned to the hotel after dinner. He spotted us coming through the lobby and literally ran over from the front desk, greeted us by name and asked if our room was acceptable and if there was anything he could do for us. The housekeeping staff are a bunch of ninjas. You never saw their carts in the hall but we’d leave in the morning and when we returned in the afternoon the room was made up. Perfectly. We’d leave for dinner and when we returned the room was turned down. Perfectly. We had drinks the first night at the Onyx Bar. When we returned the next night, the bartender remembered both our names and our drinks. We interacted on several occasions with the daytime concierge. I wish I remembered his name. It wasn’t just that he was knowledgeable about Zurich and responded immediately to our requests. He acted like speaking to us was the absolute highlight of his day. I know these are all little things but they added up to a wonderful stay. Plus, the hotel couldn’t be more conveniently located. Staying at the Park was a luxury item for us but, let’s face it, traveling anywhere in Switzerland is a luxury item. I would return to the Park for their level of personal service in a minute.

It’s not as though I planned to stay long in Zurich, and in fact, we only needed a hotel for the first night of a longer trip. The Alexander Guesthouse and Hotel was convenient, centrally located in the old town, and just a walk from the Zurich HB (hauptbahnhoff, or central station). The location is the first point towards 5/5. Next is the service. Upon arriving, carrying at least one bag too many, I left my partner at a bench, while I went to check in. As I checked in with the front desk, they sent a man to collect her. He carried our bags (from around the corner, and down a block), and with a friendly smile, and great welcome brought our duffels and packs inside. The service was welcoming, and as they informed me that they’d given me an “upgrade” I was pleased to find our corner room on an upper floor, with a pleasant view of the small plaza below. An Alnatura grocer is situated right next to the hotel, which is also convenient. The area around the hotel is a pied a marché, where there are many shops, restaurants, and, as is the only real problem with Zurich, smokers. But the hotel is a winner. Relatively inexpensive, well situated, and staffed with excellent people.

They gave us cute Lindt lady bugs chocolates for our honeymoon trip , really appreciate their gestures! Breakfast was really simple tho. Other than that everything’s fine for this hotel👍🏻

I had a pleasant experience here. The hotel is ideally situated in the heart of Zurich.Lake Zurich and the Fraumünster Church are within walking distance. I had an early train to catch, The Zurich central station was just a short walk away from the hotel. The property itself is well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and accommodating but still there is a room for improvement. The room was comfortable. Room size is small but well occupied. They have lovely spread of breakfast. I do recommend this place for a short stay.

Great hotel in a fantastic location. Reasonably priced and easy to get to. Tram 10 from the airport to Haldenegg stop, right outside the hotel door. We were greeted by Nadine,so friendly and welcoming we felt at home straight away. We were given a fabulous room on the top floor overlooking the courtyard and city. Beautiful sunsets and the sound of the bells. Chris on reception was so lovely and friendly. We loved our chats, he gave us helpful tips on where to go and attractions. Just short walk into Zurich or down the Polybahn. We ate in the vegan cafe on the corner next to the hotel and the Italian nearby. Great spots. So much to do in the city and you couldn't ask for better hosts. The bedroom was spotless and a massive comfortable bed. Recommend this hotel highly and we will be back Thank you.

Looking for a hotel in Zurich that's a cut above the rest? Look no further than Central Plaza! Me alojé en este encantador hotel de época, que aunque un poco anticuado, se encontraba en excelente estado de conservación. La ubicación es inmejorable, situado en el casco antiguo de Zúrich, a pocos pasos de los principales atractivos turísticos y a metros de la estación de trenes. Esto hizo que mi estancia fuera muy conveniente y me permitió explorar fácilmente la ciudad. El ambiente cálido y clásico le daba un toque especial a la estancia. El desayuno ofrecido era básico pero satisfactorio, incluyendo opciones continentales como manteca, queso y mermeladas, aunque el jugo de naranja no era natural. Sin embargo, un aspecto que encontré un tanto desagradable fue la rigidez de algunas reglas establecidas por los dueños, quienes son personas mayores y, aunque atentos, parecían aferr**** a ciertas costumbres anticuadas. Si bien esto no afectó mi experiencia en gran medida, creo que sería útil para futuros huéspedes tener en cuenta este detalle. En general, recomiendo este hotel a aquellos que busquen un alojamiento con encanto y una ubicación privilegiada en el corazón de Zúrich, siempre y cuando estén dispuestos a aceptar algunas reglas anticuadas
