Agnes @ Taman Ujung Ujung Water Palace

This is a trip arranged on the same day as the Tirta Gangga Water Palace, the two attractions are not far apart, but they are both a bit far from the center of Ubud, so you still need to charter a car to get there. However, I think both attractions are very worthwhile, and there's no feeling of falling into a tourist trap. The day I went there was heavy rain, and even wearing a raincoat was barely enough, so there were very few tourists, which gave the feeling of having the whole place to ourselves. The area is very large, and as soon as you enter, you can see the first palace at a glance. The pathways are all white, which should look very nice in photos if the weather is good, but looking out from the windows after the rain, there's a different kind of fresh feeling. Walking around and taking pictures, you'll soon reach the foot of a ruined palace in the sky. From a distance, you can see a long staircase leading to this palace, which takes some time to climb, but it's not very high or tiring. From the top, you can overlook the entire area, which is quite nice. We also met many local little girls on the stairs, their clear eyes were very touching. After coming down and walking to the right, you can see the third palace, this time the pathway is bronze-colored, and at the end is a large, transparent platform, which might have been a place for meetings or discussions in the past. This is a very leisurely and uniquely beautiful area, especially enjoyable when it's less crowded. The rain drizzles onto the lake surface, surrounded by greenery, it's just too enjoyable.

Ujung Water Palace

Taman Ujung Karangasem. This is like a huge park with a beautiful pond and palace in the center. There is also an area at the top of a very high stairway which we passed on. They charge 50,000 idr for admission. A touch high in my opinion. The palace is beautiful but no longer furnished. It's main attraction is that it is not as crowded as Tirta Ganga. Worth a stop if you're touring around. The history of it and the views close to the see is awesome!!! Very well conserved and lots of nature around it. The drive from Denpasar is about 2 hours through the highway, but totally worth it. It has a small museum inside with the history of the monarchy in the island. #urbanexplorer #springblossoms #awesomepic #nyedestinations #unforgettableexperiences #springblossombali #springblossoms#urbanexplorer
