The Green Oasis of Barcelona

Parc de la Ciutadella, also known as Ciutadella Park, is a green oasis nestled within the heart of Barcelona, Spain. Dating back to the 19th century, it has long been cherished as the city’s primary public Parc de la Ciutadella invites visitors to recharge and unwind. Stroll along its pathways, enjoy leisurely picnics, or take a rowing boat out on the serene lake. The park houses the renowned Barcelona Zoo. The impressive parliament building, designed by architect Lluis Domènech i Montaner, also hosts the Museu d’Art Modern. Zoological Museum and Museu de Geologia are additional gems within the park’s grounds. The park’s centerpiece is the Cascada, a majestic waterfall designed by none other than Antoni Gaudí. His influence is immortalized in the winged dragon sculptures guarding the water basin.
