Amazing Snake Temple in Penang

#wheretogo The Snake Temple is one of Penang’s outstanding tourist attractions, this Chinese temple situated in Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah, Bayan Lepas Industrial Park, Bayan Lepas, Penang. The Snake Temple was built in 1805 for the worship of the deity Chor Soo Kong, the temple is reknown with its reside snakes(poisonous Wagler's Pit Vipers), the snakes have been de-venomed for safety precautions. When I visited the temple, several snakes were peaceful coiled around the stands on the altar. There also have some snakes residing on the branches at the garden. It was truly an amazing experience of the visit. The temple opening hours are usually 9am to 5.30pm daily and there is no admission fee. #awesomepic#trip#timetotravel#tripblazers#snakes
