#hiddengems Weekend getaways would not be complete without a relaxing tea time at the hotel for a tete-a-tete with the family. And unlike typical tea sets we were accustomed to with sandwiches and other finger food, the Afternoon Thai Tea Affair set at Cascade- the lobby lounge at Amari Spice, offered a pleasant surprise. The tea selection included 'miang kham'- a traditional Thai appetiser which we missed and loved! We also love the otak-otak spring roll! This was followed by popcorn chicken with tomato salsa, tuna poke bowl, scones, cakes, tarts and mango mousse topped with generous mango bites. We opted for TWG tea instead of bobba milk tea to ensure our palette were cleansed between the savoury and sweet snacks. I have to say, my partner and dad who both do not quite enjoy the typical tea time desserts found this tea selection appetising and were both fully contented.
