How fun! 🎨 Three reasons why this exhibition blew me away ❶ Chengdu in ink, brought to life: Yushan Fankuan (real name Zeng Renzhen) is indeed an architect-turned-painter! He portrays the teahouse in People's Park as "Spring Tea Flows"—tea tables stretch endlessly through a bamboo forest like green waves, tea drinkers doze on "sunshine blankets" made of ginkgo leaves, and even the steam rising from the teacups carries the sweet fragrance of Mengding Ganlu. The most amazing piece is "Hot Pot in the Snow," where a red-oil hot pot boils in the snow, snowflakes freeze instantly upon landing on tripe, and Chengdu residents laugh with chopsticks in hand amidst the contrasting temperatures—magical and real! ❷ Elegance and commonality clashing yet harmonious: The artist says what fascinates him most about Chengdu is its "down-to-earth elegance"—for example, in "Winning Hand," uncles set up mahjong tables on lotus leaves, feet soaking in clear water, shorts and socks drying behind them, a baby crying in a stroller, ignored by all..."Life always comes first." This blend of everyday life and natural scenery is depicted with a brush, both absurd and heartwarming. ❸ Sichuan dialect Easter eggs hidden in the paintings: The exhibition hall features a neon wall of dialect, where signs like "Bashideban" and "Guimiriyan" react to audience voices with dialect bullet comments! For example, "Peach Theater" has a real peach stage where the audience can sit in the painted bamboo baskets and become "folk music listeners." The "Spicy Christmas" area is decorated with chili pepper Christmas trees, and you can even stick your face into the frame and take a photo with the chili pepper juggling小人. The most surprising part is flipping through the "memory drawers"—opening the small wooden cabinets reveals 1990s food coupons, Panda Base work badges, and even a bag of Huaxi Dam ginkgo leaves.
