Lazy Days in Lovely Copenhagen

#urbanwanderings Our Copenhagen getaway was the epitome of relaxation. We savored every moment, indulging in leisurely strolls and soaking up the city's charm. The King's Gardens, with its vibrant flowers and tranquil atmosphere, set the tone for our laid-back adventure. A visit to the iconic Little Mermaid statue was a must, and its seaside setting did not disappoint. Nyhavn's colorful harbor and cozy cafes beckoned us to linger. We reveled in the city's slow pace, meandering through winding streets and discovering hidden gems. No rushed itineraries or jam-packed schedules for us – just idle bliss. Copenhagen, you have stolen our hearts with your elegance and serenity. We'll return, but for now, we're still basking in the joy of our indulgently idle escape.

The Little Mermaid

Came to Copenhagen to explore and catch the ferry to Oslo ! I wanted a cheaper place to stay than the centre of Copenhagen so I stayed at the hotel cabinn metro on the outskirts of the city, I had a great time the hotel was affordable and the staff friendly ,nice clean room too! The hotel was situated yards from an amazing shopping mall with numerous bars , restaurants and shops and also a train and subway station with regular trains into Copenhagen itself which took 10 minutes. I had a few touristy things I wanted to do while visiting and was only here a few days… I walked along the waterside and seen the little mermaid a bronze statue by Edvard Eriksen depicting a mermaid becoming human , it was busy with tourists in the day so I would recommend going earlier to avoid the crowds ! Another place I would recommend visiting was the national museum of Denmark it’s prob one of the best museums I’ve been too , especially the exhibit named the RAID ! where you join the vikings on an adventurous journey with denmarks largest collection of treasures from the Viking age , it was awesome ! Lastly I wanted a view of Copenhagen so I scaled the rundetaarn a 17th century round tower with great views over the city ! costs about £3 can get very busy again even out of season but definitely worth a look …..
