Half-day layover in Doha - I love this model-like world!

I flew with Qatar Airways to Nairobi with a layover in Doha, and I had about 12 hours of layover time. Visa-free entry + super convenient city transportation, I went on a layover backpacking trip as soon as I landed. Every building looks like a model, and there are very few tourists, it's like a reverse travel ceiling! I took my first set of favorite photos in 2025, it was so worth it! . 👇 Here's the guide! . ✅ Layover guide ▪️ If you want to go out, just follow the transfer-baggage claim sign and go through immigration. ▪️ Qatar is visa-free, just prepare your passport. . ✅ Transportation guide ▪️ There is a subway at the airport, buy a day pass first, you can take unlimited rides in one day, about 12 RMB, it's a good deal! ⚠️ If you happen to be there on a Friday, the subway opens at 9 am ▪️ If you're in a hurry, you can take a taxi, but there is no Uber at the airport, you can only take a taxi, which supports credit cards and Apple Pay, but it's a bit expensive 💔 💡 There is also a City tour at the airport, you can take a bus to the iconic attractions for about 3 hours, 32 USD/person, I think it's better to take the subway and explore on your own. . ✅ Attractions We combined subway + taxi + walking, and returned to the airport in about 6 hours. 🔹 First stop|National Museum of Qatar ▫️ We took a taxi directly from the airport, about 100 riyals, expensive! ▫️ The museum is by the sea, there was no one in the morning, great for photos! 🔹 Second stop|Museum of Islamic Art ▫️ Walk from the National Museum ▫️ Designed by I.M. Pei, great for photos from all angles! 🔹 Third stop|Souq Waqif ▫️ Local market, with unique buildings, small shops, and restaurants ▫️ You can have lunch and coffee in the sun here 🔹 Fourth stop|Katara Cultural Village ▫️ Take the subway from Souq Waqif to Katara Station ▫️ Most tourists gather near the Blue Mosque, but the entire cultural village is very large, and it's great for photos everywhere . Finally, take the red line subway from Katara directly to the airport~ 🆓 The airport Quiet Room has free lounge chairs for you to rest
