Jiangnan History Institute – Hangzhou National Editions Library

Another great place to explore historical culture: Hangzhou National Editions Library, full of Jiangnan charm, with intermingled gardens and multiple courtyards, embodies the 'hidden and revealed beauty' of Song culture everywhere. Stepping into the library is like entering a classical Chinese landscape painting, where doors made of Longquan celadon tiles, each over ten meters high, are controlled mechanically. Each door can either present itself as a folding fan or align to form a flat screen, reminiscent of the painting screens from the Song dynasty.
