Arriving by ferry, I was greeted by the island's sparkling waters and the scent of lavender drifting through the air. The first afternoon was spent wandering the cobblestone streets of Hvar Town, soaking in its charm. St. Stephen's Square buzzed with life, and I climbed the steep steps to the Spanish Fortress for panoramic views of the town and the Pakleni Islands beyond. The next day, I decided to explore beyond the town. Renting a scooter, I zipped along winding coastal roads lined with vineyards and olive groves. I stumbled upon a quiet pebble beach where I spent hours swimming in crystal-clear water and basking in the sun. In the evening, I joined locals at a konoba, enjoying fresh seafood paired with local wine under a sky full of stars. Before leaving, I picked up a postcard featuring Har's iconic coastline. Sitting by the harbor, I wrote a few words about the weekend's adventures and the island's serene beauty, knowing l'd never fully capture its magic. Dropping it in the mailbox felt bittersweet-just like leaving Hvar itself. The weekend flew by, but its memories will last forever.
