Kyoto Arashiyama - Toji Night Maple - Kitano Tenmangu Transportation Guide.

1. Nison-in Temple: Very close to Jakkoin Temple, and the maple leaf information 🍁 shows a high coloring ratio, so I chose here. From Kyoto Station, take the JR Sanin Main Line to Saga Arashiyama, get off and walk for 15-20 minutes, passing through the Bamboo Forest Path and an unknown small park, where the maple leaves are very bright in color. 2. Tenryu-ji Temple: Tenryu-ji Temple is a 10-15 minute walk from Nison-in Temple, and you can reach it through the Bamboo Forest Path. It is very famous, and there are many tourists. The coloring ratio of maple leaves is not high, and the experience is average. 3. Togetsukyo Bridge: A 10-minute walk from Tenryu-ji Temple, there is a food street nearby, which tastes very good, but the scenery is very average and not worth going to. 4. Kinkaku-ji Temple: Kinkaku-ji Temple is a 5-minute walk from Togetsukyo Bridge to Arashiyama Station, take the Keifuku Electric Railway Arashiyama Main Line, transfer to the Keifuku Electric Railway Kitano Line at Katabiranotsuji Station, and get off at Kitano Hakubaicho Station, transfer to the bus in the direction of Kitaoji, and get off at Kinkakuji-michi Station after 3 stops. Kinkaku-ji Temple is very delicate and beautiful, but the maple leaves are average. 5. Kitano Tenmangu Shrine: Kitano Tenmangu Shrine is a 10-minute walk from Kitano Hakubaicho Station after taking the bus from Kinkaku-ji Temple. I happened to catch up with the Lantern Festival, and the night view was very beautiful. The maple viewing is in a separate courtyard, and a separate ticket is required. 6. Umekoji Park: Umekoji Park is a walk or take the 205 bus from Kitano Tenmangu Shrine to Enmachi, transfer to the JR Sagano Line, get off at Umekoji Kyoto Nishi, and walk for 2 minutes. Umekoji Park is very small, like a street garden, and you need to buy a separate ticket, which doesn't feel worth going to. 7. Toji Temple: Toji Temple is a 15-minute walk from Umekoji Park. The temple is very large, and the night view is very beautiful. You can enjoy the night maple and the five-story pagoda, and it is also very close to Kyoto Station.
