The historic Middelburg Bastion (Kubu)

#malaka Middelburg Bastion (Kubu Middelburg) was one of nine bastions (1/9 Kubu) of the Fortress of Malacca, situated in the Malacca City centre near Malacca River/ Sungai Melaka. ▶️This bastion was built during the fortification of Dutch in Malacca in 1660 and this historic bastion has been restored including its cannons by State government. It’s name is in reference to the city of Middelburg of Dutch and is open for visitors. ✅ Located nearby the historic red square and at the mouth of Malacca River which the bastion now is a popular place for photographs, clean and blends well with the surrounding historical area. ▶️ Entrance fee is not required.
