Qingdao St. Regis Hotel Review: Is the luxury brand experience worth it? As a college student who loves exploring luxury hotels, I stayed at the Qingdao St. Regis Hotel this time and brought you a first-hand experience. 1. Overall Rating Based on my experience, I give the Qingdao St. Regis Hotel a score of 4.17. The overall performance is average, with some highlights and areas for improvement. 2. Hotel Location (4.8 points) The hotel is located in the core area of Shinan District, with an excellent location. It is just a step away from the Third Bathing Beach, a 1-minute walk to enjoy the beach and waves. It is about 1 km from May Fourth Square, a short walk to experience the city's vitality and culture. The First and Second Bathing Beaches are also within a comfortable distance of about 3 km, meeting the diverse needs of travel. For business trips, the Haidian business district is downstairs, and MixC is also about 1 km away, perfectly balancing business and leisure. 3. Room Facilities (4.2 points) I stayed in a Badaguan Seaview King Room, which is about 45 m², not spacious among hotels of the same level. The room adopts a parallel layout, with the bedroom and bathroom space arranged longitudinally parallel, and a walk-in closet on one side of the bedroom, providing ample storage space. The decoration style is simple and luxurious, with a large number of milky yellow panels in the bedroom, matched with lake blue ornaments, warm and elegant. However, over time, the milky yellow gradually presents a light wood effect, which has a unique charm, but the sense of luxury is weakened compared to the original. The bathroom space is covered with marble, with lake blue ornaments dotted among them, and floor-to-ceiling windows with a round bathtub facing the sea view, simple and atmospheric, with full aesthetics. The room's hardware facilities are excellent, equipped with a Dyson hairdryer, smart toilet, SMEG kettle, and heated towel rack, providing a quality life. The window faces the Badaguan Scenic Area, with mountains and water, and the scenery is beautiful at sunset when the mist covers it. 4. Public Area Facilities (3.7 points) The hotel's public area is relatively ordinary, with a slightly cramped overall area and a lack of unique visual impact in terms of decoration. However, the hollow atrium and floor-to-ceiling sea view windows make up for it, and the elegant lobby bar's decoration is exquisite and beautiful, perfect for taking photos. The hotel has a gym and swimming pool, and the "infinity" pool is eye-catching, but I found the water quality poor when I went swimming early in the morning, which affected the experience. 5. Hotel Dining (4.25 points) The dining experience is commendable. At the St. Regis Bar, the quality of the drinks is excellent. I ordered several special drinks, each with a unique flavor, and I highly recommend the "American Dance Steps," which has a rich and distinct taste. The hotel's breakfast is a full buffet, with a wide variety and above-average taste, especially the fried dumplings and egg zucchini buns, which start a vibrant day. 6. Hotel Service (3.9 points) The overall service is good, and each department can basically provide services according to standard procedures. However, there were still minor mistakes such as delayed luggage delivery, and the room response speed needs to be improved, which is still a bit short of the service level that luxury hotels should have. Like the Changsha St. Regis, the Qingdao St. Regis' night ceremony is only held on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, which is slightly insufficient compared to the Beijing St. Regis' daily ceremony. 7. Other Experiences 🧹 Soundproofing/Cleanliness: The soundproofing effect is good, and there is no external interference when resting; the cleanliness is also ideal, and the room is cleaned very well. 🛌 Supplies/Facilities: In addition to the facilities mentioned in the room, the public area facilities are also relatively complete, meeting basic leisure and fitness needs. 💗 Other tips: It is recommended to choose a sea view room with excellent scenery; you can consult the hotel about the pool water quality before swimming; if you want to experience the night ceremony, remember to arrange to stay from Friday to Sunday. The Qingdao St. Regis Hotel has no obvious shortcomings in all aspects, and the high-altitude sea view is a highlight, but the decoration style lacks uniqueness. The overall comfort is high, and it is recommended for friends who pursue quality and sea view experience.
