| A Thousand Years of Islamic Light.👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 This is my second time visiting Quanzhou Qingjing Mosque, and this time I brought my parents. Unfortunately, the prayer hall is no longer open to the public.😭 It's a unique and must-see building. Qingjing Mosque was built in the second year of the Dazhong Xiangfu period of the Northern Song Dynasty (1009 AD) and is the oldest existing Islamic mosque in China. It bears witness to the cultural integration of the Maritime Silk Road period in Quanzhou.🌟 🎈Main attractions: - The gatehouse: A typical Arab architectural style, built with blue and white granite, majestic and spectacular, with exquisite carvings. - Fengtian Altar: The former prayer hall, now only ruins remain, but you can still feel its former grandeur. - Mingshan Hall: Built during later renovations, it is a place for Muslims to recite scriptures and pray. 🗺Route: Enter through the gatehouse, admire its unique architectural style and historical feel → then head to Fengtian Altar to learn about its past glory → finally, go to Mingshan Hall to feel the tranquility and devotion.
