Gassho Rock is named because its mountain shape resembles two hands placed together, which means "putting your palms together represents one mind." The Ten Thousand Buddhas Grottoes were excavated in 2003 and are still being carved. Currently, more than 10,000 large and small Buddha statues have been carved in the grottoes. The tallest Buddha statues in the cave are more than 8 meters long, and the smallest ones are only 2 centimeters. When completed, it will be the largest grotto south of the Yangtze River, so it is known as the "No. 1 Grotto in the South of the Yangtze River." It is said that there will be a 100-meter-long reclining Buddha in the future, I am looking forward to it! Each Buddha statue is carved very carefully, with different expressions and lifelike appearance. The stories engraved on the stone walls are all from Buddhist scriptures, including the Oriental Glazed World, the Southern World of Joy, the Western Paradise, and the Northern Lotus World.
