Most of the buildings are being preserved and converted to bars and pubs. In this Orchard Heritage Trail, there are a total of 11 landmarks, approximately 4.7km and estimated 2 hours walk on foot. In this trail, you can experience the natural heritage and beauty of orchard road. Most importantly, it is free and you can do it on your own time. I will suggest the spot at Emerald Hill Road because it is a photogenic place to take some awesome photos. Come back at night and it is a bustling place for drinks and hangout too. Compared to Boat Quay, Emerald Hill is less crowded and has its own charms too. Having a drink in one of the transformed shophouses is great for a change.
