Emerald Hill

This is a quaint little side street off on side of Orchard Road, it is a residential area full of old style Singapore shop house houses that are actually cultural heritage, so the outside has to remain authentic and the owners have to keep the historical architectural style. Now, the location is prime real estate, so the houses are owned by wealthy individuals and when you take a stroll and examine them from the sidewalk, you can see that most are luxuriously decorated, a few have small courtyard gardens with a driveway, usually occupied by a Ferrari or a Lamborghini or some other expensive car. It is a refreshing stroll as it is so quiet, almost no traffic and once you enter, after a few steps you feel like you are in another place, not in bustling Singapore.
